Για πολύ κόσμο η αιτία που η Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ έχει πέσει επίπεδο και μετράει πλέον έξι χρόνια μακριά από την κορυφή της Premier League είναι η έλλειψη ποιότητας στο ρόστερ σε σύγκριση με αυτό που είχε να διαχειριστεί ο Σερ Άλεξ Φέργκιουσον, οπότε μόνο με ηχηρές μεταγραφές θα μπορέσει να ξαναμπεί στο ματς.
Αυτός ο δρόμος σύμφωνα με τον Γουέιν Ρούνι δεν είναι εκείνος που θα την οδηγήσει στην επιτυχία, με τον πρώην φορ των "κόκκινων διαβόλων" και νυν της DC United να φιλοξενείται σε ραδιοφωνική εκπομπή του "BBC" και να τονίζει την ανάγκη άλλου τύπου μεταγραφών.
