Ο Βασίλης Τολιόπουλος με τεράστια εμφάνιση υπέγραψε τη νίκη-πρόκριση της Εθνικής στην Τσεχία με 93-89 στην παράταση. Σπουδαίο παιχνίδι και από τον Ιωάννη Παπαπέτρου. Η Ελλάδα εξασφάλισε από σήμερα την παρουσία της στο EuroBasket 2025.

Ο Βασίλης Τολιόπουλος με μία απίθανη εμφάνιση οδήγησε την Εθνική στη νίκη επί της Τσεχίας με 93-89 στην παράταση, η οποία σήμανε και πρόκριση στα τελικά του EuroBasket 2025. Πιστή σε ακόμα ένα μεγάλο ραντεβού η γαλανόλευκη.

Ο διεθνής γκαρντ με ένα τεράστιο τρίποντο 2″ πριν το τέλος της κανονικής διάρκειας ισοφάρισε σε 77-77, στέλνοντας το ματς στην παράταση και εκεί με νέα μεγάλα σουτ υπέγραψε την ελληνική επικράτηση. Ο αγώνας

Η Εθνική ξεκίνησε εντυπωσιακά το παιχνίδι, κάνοντας εκπληκτική δουλειά σε άμυνα και επίθεση και παίρνοντας λύσεις από πολλούς παίκτες. Η όμορφη κυκλοφορία της μπάλας και η προσήλωση και στις δύο πλευρές του γηπέδου έφεραν από νωρίς διψήφιο προβάδισμα για την γαλανόλευκη, η οποία έκλεισε την πρώτη περίοδο στο +14 (13-27), με τον Παπαγιάννη να ξεχωρίζει σε σκοράρισμα και ριμπάουντ.

Στην δεύτερη περίοδο η εικόνα ήταν εκ διαμέτρου αντίθετη με την πρώτη, καθώς οι Τσέχοι έτρεξαν ένα επιμέρους 16-2 και με τρίποντο του Πέτερκα ισοφάρισαν στο 16ο λεπτό (29-29). Η ομάδα του Ντιέγκο Οκάμπο πέρασε μπροστά στο σκορ και διατήρησε το προβάδισμα μέχρι το φινάλε του πρώτου μέρους, σκοράροντας 27 πόντους και δεχόμενη 10 στην δεύτερη περίοδο. Ημίχρονο στο 40-37.

Η εικόνα της Ελλάδας στην τρίτη περίοδο ήταν σαφώς καλύτερη σε σχέση με την δεύτερη. Η γαλανόλευκη ανέκτησε το προβάδισμά της, βελτιώνοντας αισθητά την αμυντικά της λειτουργία. Παπαπέτρου, Παπαγιάννης και Τολιόπουλος έδιναν λύσεις επιθετικά και η Εθνική μπήκε με πλεονέκτημα έξι πόντων στο τρίτο δεκάλεπτο (54-60). Η Εθνική είχε τον έλεγχο και την τέταρτη περίοδο, διατηρώντας σταθερά το προβάδισμα, χωρίς ωστόσο να καταφέρει να ξεφύγει και να “καθαρίσει” από νωρίς το ματς.

Η Τσεχία ήταν κοντά και το τρίποντο του Σενάλ, 54″ πριν το τέλος την έβαλε σε θέση οδηγού (75-74). Με το σκορ στο 74-77 ο Σατοράνσκι είχε την ευκαιρία να τελειώσει το παιχνίδι από την γραμμή των βολών, ωστόσο αστόχησε και στις δύο. Ο Τολιόπουλος αυτό το τιμώρησε και με ένα τεράστιο τρίποντο από μακριά, ισοφάρισε 2″ πριν το τέλος (77-77). Το παιχνίδι οδηγήθηκε στην παράταση. Εκεί ο διεθνής γκαρντ με νέα μεγάλα σουτ υπέγραψε τη νίκη της Εθνικής, η οποία σήμανε και την πρόκριση στη μεγάλη διοργάνωση.
