Thanks to the goals of Stepinski and Evandro and Kousoulou, who came on as substitutes in the game, Omonia won 3-0 against Karmiotissa, who did not pose a particular threat, at the GSP stadium for the 21st matchday of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.

The home team was coming off a 2-0 victory over Enios in Paralimni and wanted to continue with the winning results to stay close to the top three and the championship claim.

On the other hand, Karmiotissa wanted to leave behind the two defeats to Apollon (3-0) and Paphos (0-2) and return to positive results to build a greater gap from the relegation zone.

Five minutes later, Jovetic, just outside the area, took the shot, a difficult save from Epasi. Then Stepinski took the shot from close range, and Epasi again, but the Pole was in an illegal position.

In the 19th minute, a cross by Hamas hit the crossbar, creating a great opportunity for Omonia.

Omonia found the net with a header by Erakovic, after a header by Kovacevic, but the Montenegrin was exposed and the goal did not count, regardless of the fact that the ball went from an opponent, as Erakovic was in an offside position and in the initial cross by Loizou.

The home team continued to search for the goal and in the 36th minute, another great opportunity was missed. Stepinski shot from very close range, after a pass from Jovetic, but Epasi blocked it with his body and kept the score at zero.

The goal for Omonia finally came in the 45th minute. Loizou took a shot from outside the area, the ball hit the post, Erakovic took the ball from next to the goal and served a ready goal to the Polish forward with an empty goal. Of course, Stepinski with a well-aimed place would not have missed the goal from such a short distance and opened the score.

Thus, the two teams went to the locker room with Omonia leading 1-0, in a half where they were clearly better with 61% possession in their favor compared to 39% and 6 finals with 4 on target, compared to 3 for Karmiotissa. Stepinski's goal in the finale secured the very good image of the home team.

The "golden" substitutions sealed the three-point victory

Omonia came on better in the second half and tried to find a second goal, without any good chances, with the exception of a powerful shot by Jovetic that ended up in the hands of Epasi.

The second goal of the Greens came in the 62nd minute from a set piece. Jovetic took the corner kick, the ball was cleared and with a header from Evandro, who came on as a substitute two minutes before the goal, the ball ended up in Epasi's goal, which did not have a clear field due to the many players in front of him.

The visitors tried to react and moved up the pitch, but they were unable to create a clear final effort and threaten Fabiano, and the 2-0 remained with time running out in favor of the home team, who were also looking for a third goal with some long-range shots. The guests were unable to find the goal that would allow them to re-enter the match.

The "clover" scored a third goal in the 90th minute with Hamas entering the area from the left, making the turn at the height of the penalty and with a powerful shot Kousoulos, who also entered as a substitute, made the final 3-0. Thus, they celebrated a comfortable victory, as they did not feel the threat of the opponent.

With this victory, Omonia reached 42 points and temporarily moved to 3rd place, while Karmiotissa remained at 20 and in 10th place.

Χάρη στο γκολ του Στεπίνσκι και των Εβάντρο και Κούσουλου, που πέρασαν ως αλλαγή στο παιχνίδι, η Ομόνοια πήρε την νίκη με 3-0 κόντρα στην Καρμιώτισσα, που δεν απείλησε ιδιαίτερα, στο στάδιο ΓΣΠ για την 21η αγωνιστική τηςCyprus League by Stoiximan.

Οι γηπεδούχοι προέρχονταν από την νίκη με 2-0 επί της Ένωσης στο Παραλίμνι και ήθελαν να δώσουν συνέχεια στα νικηφόρα αποτελέσματα για να μείνουν κοντά στην τριάδα και την διεκδίκηση του πρωταθλήματος.

Βρήκε το γκολ στο φινάλε και κατοχύρωσε την κυριαρχία της

Οι φιλοξενούμενοι βρήκαν την πρώτη ευκαιρία στο 6' με σουτ από τον Ανδρέου εκτός περιοχής να καταλήγει στα χέρια του Φαμπιάνο.

Στο 9' ο Λοΐζου απάντησε με πλασέ επίσης εκτός περιοχής να πηγαίνει δίπλα από την εστία.

Πέντε λεπτά αργότερα, ο Γιόβετιτς μόλις έξω από την περιοχή, έκανε το σουτ, δύσκολη απόκρουση από τον Επασί. Στη συνέχεια ο Στεπίνσκι από κοντινή απόσταση έκανε το σουτ, και πάλι ο Επασί, όμως ο Πολωνός ήταν σε αντικανονική θέση.

Στο 19' μια σέντρα του Χαμάς κατέληξε στην δοκό των δοκαριών καταγράφοντας μια πολύ μεγάλη ευκαιρία για την Ομόνοια.

Η Ομόνοια βρήκε δίχτυα με προβολή του Εράκοβιτς, έπειτα από κεφαλιά του Κοβάσεβιτς, όμως ο Μαυροβούνιος ήταν εκτεθειμένος και το γκολ δε μέτρησε, ασχέτως πως η μπάλα πήγε από αντίπαλο, καθώς ο Εράκοβιτς ήταν σε θέση οφσάιντ και στην αρχική σέντρα του Λοΐζου.

Οι γηπεδούχοι συνέχιζαν να ψάχνουν το γκολ και στο 36' χάθηκε ακόμη μια μεγάλη ευκαιρία. Ο Στεπίνσκι έκανε το σουτ από πολύ κοντινή απόσταση, έπειτα από πάσα του Γιόβετιτς, όμως ο Επασί απέκρουσε με το σώμα και κράτησε το μηδέν.

Το γκολ για την Ομόνοια ήρθε τελικά στο 45'. Ο Λοΐζου έκανε το συρτό σουτ εκτός περιοχής, η μπάλα χτύπησε στο δοκάρι, ο Εράκοβιτς πήρε την μπάλα δίπλα από την εστία και σέρβιρε έτοιμο γκολ στον Πολωνό φορ με άδειο τέρμα. Φυσικά ο Στεπίνσκι με εύστοχο πλασέ δεν θα έχανε το γκολ από τόση μικρή απόσταση και άνοιξε το σκορ.

Έτσι, οι δύο ομάδες πήγαν στα αποδυτήρια με την Ομόνοια να προηγείται με 1-0, σε ένα ημίχρονο όπου ήταν σαφώς καλύτερη με 61% κατοχή υπέρ της έναντι 39% και 6 τελικές με 4 στον στόχο, έναντι 3 της Καρμιώτισσας. Το γκολ του Στεπίνσκι στο φινάλε κατοχύρωσε την πολύ καλή εικόνα των γηπεδούχων.

Οι «χρυσές» αλλαγές κλείδωσε το τρίποντο

Η Ομόνοια μπήκε καλύτερα στο δεύτερο ημίχρονο και προσπάθησε να βρει δεύτερο γκολ, χωρίς κάποια καλή φάση, με εξαίρεση ένα δυνατό σουτ του Γιόβετιτς που κατέληξε στα χέρια του Επασί.

Το δεύτερο γκολ των πρασίνων ήρθε στο 62' από στατική φάση. Ο Γιόβετιτς εκτέλεσε το κόρνερ, η μπάλα απομακρύνθηκε και με κεφαλιά του Εβάντρο, που μπήκε ως αλλαγή δύο λεπτά πριν το γκολ, η μπάλα κατέληξε στην εστία του Επασί που δεν είχε καθαρό πεδίο από τους πολλούς παίκτες που ήταν μπροστά του.

Οι φιλοξενούμενοι προσπάθησαν να βγάλουν αντίδραση και ανέβηκαν μέτρα στο γήπεδο, όμως δεν κατάφερναν να δημιουργήσουν καθαρή τελική προσπάθεια και να απειλήσουν τον Φαμπιάνο, και το 2-0 παρέμενε με τον χρόνο να κυλά υπέρ των γηπεδούχων, που παράλληλα έψαχναν και τρίτο γκολ με κάποια μακρινά σουτ. Οι φιλοξενούμενοι δεν κατάφεραν να βρουν το γκολ που θα τους επέτρεπε να ξαναμπούν στον αγώνα.

Το «τριφύλλι» πέτυχε και τρίτο γκολ στο 90' με τον Χαμάς να μπαίνει περιοχή από τα αριστερά, να κάνει το γύρισμα στο ύψος του πέναλτι και με δυνατό σουτ ο Κούσουλος, που επίσης μπήκε ως αλλαγή, έκανε το τελικό 3-0. Έτσι, πανηγύρισε μια άνετη νίκη, καθώς δεν ένιωσε την απειλή του αντιπάλου.

Με αυτή την νίκη η Ομόνοια έφτασε τους 42 βαθμούς και πέρασε προσωρινά στην 3η θέση, ενώ η Καρμιώτισσα παρέμεινε στους 20 και στην 10η θέση.
