Panetolikos - Atromitos 0-1

With a well-aimed penalty by Ward in the 36th minute, Atromitos prevailed 1-0 over Panetolikos in Agrinio and advanced to the quarterfinals. Panetolikos played with ten men from the 60th minute due to the expulsion of Pantelakis.

Atromitos left the home of Panetolikos with a double of the quarterfinals with 1-0 thanks to Amr Ward who "hurt" his former team and took them out of the leading positions in Europe.

The guests were better throughout the match, had chances and thanks to VAR they also found a goal before the end of the half which ultimately gave them the victory.

Only in the 3rd minute did he have the first phase with Sielis badly turning the ball towards Chaves and Baku entering the phase, but fortunately for the Argentine, the counterattack helped him block.

From then on, Atromitos had possession, but whenever he reached the home team's area with claims, he fell on Chaves. This was until the 32nd minute, there a shot by Athanasiou hit Sielis and ended up as a corner, however, the decision was changed via VAR since there was a handball.

Thus, from the eleven steps, the former resident of Agrinio, Amr Warda, did not leave the... gift unexploited and wrote the 1-0 of the half without celebrating of course.

In the second half, Atromitos continued to play strongly and had great chances, while VAR disallowed their goal in the 54th minute after Baku was in an offside position. Atromitos had a great chance in the 71st minute with Athanasiou finding Ward, but the Egyptian's shot found Chavez on the ready. Thus, with Panaitolikos having no real chances in the second half, Pablo Garcia's team won a double... gold in Agrinio with 1-0.

Με εύστοχο πέναλτι του Ουάρντα στο 36ο λεπτό ο Ατρόμητος επικράτησε με 1-0 του Παναιτωλικού στο Αγρίνιο και ανέβηκε στην οκτάδα. Έπαιζε με δέκα από το 60' ο Παναιτωλικός λόγω αποβολής του Παντελάκη.

Ο Ατρόμητος έφυγε με διπλό οκτάδας από την έδρα του Παναιτωλικού με 1-0 χάρη στον Αμρ Ουάρντα που «πλήγωσε» την πρώην ομάδα του και την έβγαλε εκτός των θέσεων που οδηγούν στην Ευρώπη.

Οι φιλοξενούμενοι ήταν καλύτεροι σε όλη τη διάρκεια του ματς, είχαν ευκαιρίες και χάρη στο VAR βρήκαν και γκολ πριν το τέλος του ημιχρόνου που εν τέλει τους χάρισε τη νίκη.

Μόλις στο 3ο λεπτό είχε την πρώτη φάση με τον Σιέλη να γυρίζει άσχημα τη μπάλα προς τον Τσάβες και τον Μπάκου να μπαίνει στη φάση, όμως για καλή τύχη του Αργεντίνου η κόντρα τον βοήθησε να μπλοκάρει.

Από εκεί και μετά ο Ατρόμητος είχε την κατοχή όμως όποτε έφτασε με αξιώσεις στην περιοχή των γηπεδούχων, έπεσε πάνω στον Τσάβες. Αυτό μέχρι το 32ο λεπτό, εκεί ένα σουτ του Αθανασίου κόντραρε στον Σιέλη και κατέληξε κόρνερ, ωστόσο μέσω VAR άλλαξε η απόφαση αφού υπήρχε χέρι.

Έτσι από τα έντεκα βήματα ο πρώην κάτοικος Αγρινίου, Αμρ Ουάρντα, δεν άφησε ανεκμετάλλευτο το... δώρο και έγραψε το 1-0 του ημιχρόνου χωρίς βέβαια να το πανηγυρίσει.

Στην επανάληψη ο Ατρόμητος συνέχισε δυνατά και είχε μεγάλες φάσεις, ενώ το VAR του ακύρωσε γκολ στο 54ο λεπτό αφού ο Μπάκου ήταν σε θέση οφσάιντ. Μάλιστα ο Μπάκου ήταν αυτός που κέρδισε την αποβολή του Παντελάκη που στο 59' δέχθηκε κόκκινη (ξανά μέσω VAR) για φάουλ στον επιθετικό των φιλοξενούμενων.

Ο Ατρόμητος είχε μεγάλη ευκαιρία στο 71' με τον Αθανασίου να βρίσκει τον Ουάρντα, αλλά το σουτ του Αιγύπτιου βρήκε σε ετοιμότητα τον Τσάβες. Έτσι με τον Παναιτωλικό να μην έχει ουσιαστικά φάση στο δεύτερο μέρος, η ομάδα του Πάμπλο Γκαρσία πήρε διπλό... χρυσάφι στο Αγρίνιο με 1-0.
