Big accident for Mercedes: Hamilton was eliminated from Q1
Except for Q1, Lewis Hamilton is left, who will start in 16th place in tomorrow's race on the track of Saudi Arabia behind Stroll.
With a huge surprise, the conquest trials started in the second Grand Prix of the season in Saudi Arabia. More specifically, the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton was left out of Q1 after five years, as he finished in 16th place behind Stroll with a time of 1: 30.343.
The last time the British driver was left out of Q1, he was at the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2017, while this is the 10th time in his career that this is done.
The British driver had informed his team before his hotlap that he would hardly improve his time. He did it temporarily, but Stroll displaced him. At the same time, his team-mate, George Russell, was 4th.

Εκτός από το Q1 έμεινε ο Λιούις Χάμιλτον, ο οποίος θα εκκινήσει στην 16η θέση στον αυριανό αγώνα στην πίστα της Σαουδικής Αραβίας πίσω από τον Στρολ.
Με μια τεράστια έκπληξη ξεκίνησαν οι κατακτήριες δοκιμές στο δεύτερο Grand Prix της σεζόν στην Σαουδική Αραβία. Πιο συγκεκριμένα ο επτάκις παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής, Λιούις Χάμιλτον έμεινε εκτός από τοQ1 μετά από πέντε χρόνια, καθώς τερμάτισε στην 16η θέση πίσω από τον Στρολ με χρόνο 1:30.343.
Τελευταία φορά που έμεινε εκτός από το Q1 ο Βρετανός πιλότος, ήταν στο Grand Prix της Βραζιλίας το 2017, ενώ είναι η 10η φορά συνολικά στην καριέρα του που γίνεται αυτό.
Ο Βρετανός οδηγός πριν από το hotlap του είχε ενημερώσει την ομάδα του πως δύσκολα θα βελτίωνε το χρόνο του. Το έκανε προσωρινά, αλλά τον εκτόπισε ο Στρολ. Την ίδια ώρα, ο team-mate του, Τζορτζ Ράσελ, ήταν 4ος.
