Η Μπασκόνια, μετά τα πρώτα λεπτά που οι ομάδες έψαχναν τα «πατήματά» τους, πήρε τον έλεγχο και αιφνιδιάζοντας την Νταρουσάφακα, στο τέλος της πρώτης περιόδου προηγήθηκε με 18-9. Στην δεύτερη περίοδο η τουρκική ομάδα έδειξε σημάδια αντίδρασης αλλά δεν μπορούσε να καλύψει την διαφορά. Στο 15ο λεπτό η Μπασκόνια προηγούνταν με 25-11 και εκμεταλλευόμενη την αστοχία των φιλοξενούμενων, στο ημίχρονο προηγούνταν με 37-19.
Στο δεύτερο μέρος τα δεδομένα δεν άλλαξαν. Η ομάδα του Ντέιβιντ Μπλατ προσπάθησε να κάνει την αντεπίθεσή της αλλά η Μπασκόνια δεν έχασε τα ηνία σε κανένα σημείο. Με τους Λάρκιν, Χάνγκα και Μπομπουά να δίνουν λύσεις, η ισπανική ομάδα έλεγξε τον ρυθμό και έφτασε στη νίκη με 73-52.
