France: Zidane officially on the bench!

Zinedine Zidane is the new coach of the French National Team, as announced by the federation on Tuesday morning (28/7).

The French National Team officially entered a new era, that of Zinedine Zidane on Tuesday morning (28/7), after the official announcement of his hiring by the Federation.

The former French ace of the fields returns to the bench after 2021 and his departure from Real Madrid, with the aim of course leading the Tricolors to the top of Europe and the world. As informed by the president of the FFF, Philippe Diallo, the cooperation between the two sides will be valid until the 2030 World Cup.

Zidane served as the first coach of the "queen" for a total of four seasons in two terms (2016-2018 and 2019-2021) in which he managed to celebrate three consecutive (!) Champions Leagues, two Spanish championships, two European and two Spanish Super Cups as well as two World Club Cups.

Now, the 54-year-old is being asked to succeed Didier Deschamps, with whom the French reached the top of the world in 2018 and had a presence in the World Cup final in 2022.

Ο Ζινεντίν Ζιντάν είναι ο νέος τεχνικός της Εθνικής Γαλλίας, όπως ανακοίνωσε η ομοσπονδία το πρωί της Τρίτης (28/7).

Σε νέα εποχή, αυτή του Ζινεντίν Ζιντάν πέρασε και επίσημα το πρωί της Τρίτης (28/7) η Εθνική Γαλλίας, μετά την επίσημη ανακοίνωση της πρόσληψής του από την Ομοσπονδία.

Ο Γάλλος πρώην άσος των γηπέδων επιστρέφει στους πάγκους μετά το 2021 και την αποχώρησή του από εκείνον της Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης, με στόχο φυσικά να οδηγήσει τους Τρικολόρ στην κορυφή της Ευρώπης και του κόσμου. Όπως ενημέρωσε ο πρόεδρος της FFF, Φιλίπ Ντιαλό, η συνεργασία των δυο πλευρών θα έχει ισχύ μέχρι το Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο του 2030.

Ο Ζιντάν διετέλεσε πρώτος προπονητής της «βασίλισσας» συνολικά τέσσερις σεζόν σε δυο θητείες (2016-2018 και 2019-2021) στις οποίες κατάφερε να πανηγυρίσει τρία διαδοχικά (!) Champions League, δυο πρωταθλήματα Ισπανίας, δυο Σούπερ Καπ Ευρώπης και δυο Ισπανίας καθώς και δυο Παγκόσμια Συλλόγων.

Πλέον, ο 54χρονος καλείται να διαδεχθεί τον Ντιντιέ Ντεσάν, με τον οποίο οι Γάλλοι έφτασαν στην κορυφή του κόσμου το 2018 και είχαν και μια παρουσία σε τελικό Μουντιάλ το 2022.
