Το καλύτερο παράδειγμα άλλωστε μιας τέτοιας αλλαγής status quo το προσφέρει η ίδια η θριαμβεύτρια της Τετάρτης. Οι πιτσιρικάδες που έχουν ζήσει μόνο την εποχή Μέσι, νομίζουν ότι η Μπαρτσελόνα υπήρξε πάντα μια τεράστια ομάδα που σκορπούσε τρόμο στο διάβα της. Ακόμα και λαμβάνοντας υπόψιν όλη την προϊστορία, πολιτική και κοινωνική που βάραινε την κόντρα των δυο μεγάλων της Ισπανίας (εμφύλιος, Φράνκο, Ντι Στέφανο, εύνοια υπέρ της Ρεάλ κ.λπ.) ουδείς αμφισβητήσουμε το προφανές:  Η Ρεάλ ήταν μεγαλύτερη ομάδα από την Μπαρτσελόνα. Είχε περισσότερους εγχώριους τίτλους, είχε πολλά περισσότερα Πρωταθλητριών, είχε τον αέρα της ανωτερότητας απέναντι στην Μπάρτσα, ήταν η αδιαφιλονίκητη Βασίλισσα της Ευρώπης, την οποία η Μπαρτσελόνα έμοιαζε να καταδικασμένη να κυνηγάει μια ζωή.  Έτσι μάθαμε, έτσι πιστεύαμε βλακωδώς ότι θα ισχύει πάντα.

Αλλά η ιστορία απεχθάνεται τα θέσφατα. Δεν χρειάζεται να σας υπενθυμίσω πόσα θαυμαστά έχουμε δει από αυτή την ομάδα τα τελευταία δεκαπέντε χρόνια, με αποκορύφωμα την αδιανόητη ανατροπή της Τετάρτης.  Δεκάδες τίτλοι, δεκάδες μυθικά παιχνίδια, ιστορικές νίκες – περίπατοι μέσα στην έδρα της Ρεάλ, Τσάμπιονς Λιγκ, χρυσές μπάλες  και μια τεράστια δυναμική που ξεπερνάει σύνορα και χρώματα. Ακόμα και όταν όλοι βιάζονται να προδιαγράψουν το τέλος του κύκλου της, η Μπάρτσα τους διαψεύδει ξανά και ξανά.

Ακόμα λοιπόν κι εμείς που συμπαθούμε την Ρεάλ και μεγαλώσαμε με την βεβαιότητα της ανωτερότητας της, είναι καιρός να παραδεχθούμε ορισμένα πράγματα.

Η Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης είναι εκείνη που έχει βρεθεί να κυνηγά την αίγλη της αντιπάλου της. Όσα Τσάμπιονς Λιγκ κι αν σηκώσει, όπως το περυσινό, άπαντες ζηλεύουν την Μπάρτσα για τα πράγματα που έκανε και συνεχίζει να κάνει στο χορτάρι. Πρόκειται για μια πραγματικότητα που πληγώνει τους οπαδούς της Ρεάλ, εντούτοις παραμένει πραγματικότητα. Η Μπαρτσελόνα, από μια καλή ευρωπαϊκή ομάδα με καίριες κοινωνικοπολιτικές ιδιαιτερότητες, έχει γίνει η σημαντικότερη ομάδα του καιρού μας και μια από τις σημαντικότερες όλων των εποχών.

Η ιστορία γράφεται κάθε μέρα. Και αυτή η Μπαρτσελόνα δεν μοιάζει διατεθειμένη να σταματήσει να την γράφει με τον δικό της, ασύγκριτο τρόπο…
