PAOK - Panathinaikos 2-1

PAOK found themselves with their backs against the wall, but they had a reaction, tactics and Tyson going wild, which turned things around (2-1)! Panathinaikos was nowhere to be seen, took the lead and ended the match with… a final!

Your death, my life. Although the truth is that PAOK seemed more squeezed before the start of the 4th round of the playoffs, playing its last card in Toumba for the privileged second place. Panathinaikos, more comfortable after the victory over the Double Head at OAKA, traveled to Thessaloniki in order to make it difficult. Only this year's PAOK, at the end of the season, looks like it was made for them...

Razvan Lucescu and Rui Vitoria moved with surprises in the "battle" of the chessboard. PAOK, with Kotarski under the posts, had Baba - Otto on the wings of the defense and Kenjiora - Michaelides in the center. Kamara returned to the midfield, however, in the absence of the suspended Ozdoev, Meite was recruited as the partner of the African midfielder. Despodov was knocked out, except for the one suffering from a virus, Zivkovic, with the attacking trio consisting of Tyson, Constantia and Pelka, with Brandon Thomas (!) at the top of the attack.

Panathinaikos, knowing in advance that it could not count on Mladenovic, Bakaseta and Kotsira, moved with Dragovski under the goal, Ingasson and Jedvai as stoppers and Vayannidis (right) and Limnios (left) as full-backs. In the midfield, Siopis, Maksimovic and Unai, with Jurisic and Pelistri on the “wings” and Sfinderski at the top of the attack, in his return as an opponent in Toumba.

As in the other matches of the mini-league, in this one too, it was confirmed that derbies are games of mistakes. Whoever makes the most, “gets burned”. And the greens set fire to the... good evening of the match, perfectly taking advantage of the... unnecessary corner that PAOK gave just in the 3rd minute of the match. Rui Vitoria's players executed it with a pass from the left, Unai took the cross with the right, Ingason made the parallel turn from the far post with his head and Jedvai sent the ball into the net for 0-1!

Panathinaikos failed to capitalize on the quick goal, moving mostly with deep balls behind the PAOK defense that immediately regrouped from the cold and took over the reins of the game after 15 minutes. The half-time statistics service recorded just one final (1/1) on target for "Clover", while PAOK closed with 8 finals, 4 of which were on target.

From the 15th minute onwards, PAOK showed a lot of patience in their game, saw various collaborations and inspirations remain in the middle, however, they noticeably raised the intensity, put Panathinaikos under pressure and were rewarded with the equalizer. First warning with a nice long shot by Meite that was blocked by Dragovski, in the 24th minute PAOK's hammering was not completed, with Brandon sending the ball out while in the 30th minute Otto went behind the Panathinaikos defense from the right and made the turn, but the shot that Pelkas tried ended up in the bodies.

Another warning, the last one, before the final “strike”, occurred in the 35th minute when Kamara headed the ball into the penalty area but the Panathinaikos goalkeeper made a difficult save. A minute later, PAOK equalized the score, “paying” their opponent with the same coin. With a goal that came from a corner kick. Pelkas took the shot, Michaelides took the rebound and with a left-footed shot on the move and an unrepeatable volley beat Dragovski for 1-1.

With their foot on the... gas until the break, the Thessaloniki team created the conditions to further pressure Panathinaikos, with the most characteristic moment in the 39th minute when Tyson stepped into the area, made the dangerous turn, but no player from the Two-Headed team was in the path of the ball. With the score at 1-1, the two teams left for the locker room. A similar scenario in the second half, with Panathinaikos in a completely passive role and PAOK firmly holding the reins of the match in its hands and the ball at its feet. Somehow, the turnaround for the Two-Headed team did not take long, with Tyson being omnipresent in every mistake and... sale of the ball by the Panathinaikos players. In the 57th minute, with exceptional energy, the Brazilian laid a pass to Kamaras who stepped into the area and with a place he executed Dragovski for 2-1! This was Kamaras' 10th goal this season with PAOK, however, it is the first one that comes from his feet and not his head...

In the 62nd minute, another incredible run by Tyson and execution, with the greens' keeper stopping once again. Tete, the first move from Panathinaikos, Andrija is PAOK's answer in the 60th minute. Ten minutes later, all for all from Rui Vitória, recruiting Ioannidis and moving with two fores in order to "chase" the equalizing goal. Cherin and Schwab are the moves on the axis by the two coaches, with Lucescu focusing on a 4-3-3, shielding the axis and "freshening" the attack in the 75th minute with Chalov replacing Brandon.

PAOK could have increased its score even more, however, in the 82nd minute, they threw away a huge opportunity with Chalov as the protagonist. The Russian got into a one-on-one with Dragowski, but he was too late, resulting in his attempt to find the answer from the Polish goalkeeper. However, Panathinaikos never found answers against PAOK, who were superior in their entirety and forced Vitoria to play their last, moving with three goals in the finale, also throwing in Yeremeyev.

However, the night belonged to PAOK, who recorded another upset in these playoffs, hold fate in their hands and have proven that they have the character and the metal to turn... a very, very difficult year around. A setback and a reflection for Panathinaikos.

Ο ΠΑΟΚ βρέθηκε με την πλάτη στον τοίχο, είχε όμως αντίδραση, τακτική και τον Τάισον να οργιάζει έκανε ανατροπάρα (2-1)! Ο Παναθηναϊκός δεν βλεπόταν, προηγήθηκε και τελείωσε με… μια τελική το ματς!

Ο θάνατός σου, η ζωή μου. Αν και η αλήθεια είναι πως ο ΠΑΟΚ φάνταζε πριν την έναρξη της 4ης αγωνιστικής των playoffs πιο στρυμωγμένος, παίζοντας στην Τούμπα το τελευταίο του χαρτί για την προνομιούχο δεύτερη θέση. Πιο άνετος ο Παναθηναϊκός μετά τη νίκη επί του Δικεφάλου στο ΟΑΚΑ, ταξίδεψε στην Θεσσαλονίκη προκειμένου να του βάλει δύσκολα. Μόνο που ο φετινός ΠΑΟΚ, δείχνει στο φινάλε της σεζόν, φτιαγμένος γι΄αυτά...

Με εκπλήξεις κινήθηκαν Ραζβάν Λουτσέσκου και Ρουί Βιτόρια στη «μάχη» της σκακιέρας. Ο μεν ΠΑΟΚ, με τον Κοτάρσκι κάτω από τα δοκάρια, έχοντας τους Μπάμπα - Ότο στα άκρα της άμυνας και τους Κεντζιόρα - Μιχαηλίδη στο κέντρο. Στα χαφ επέστρεψε ο Καμαρά, ωστόσο, απόντος του τιμωρημένου Οζντόεφ, επιστρατεύθηκε ο Μεϊτε ως παρτενέρ του Αφρικανού μέσου. Νοκ άουτ Ντεσπόντοφ, εκτός και ο ταλαιπωρημένος από μία ίωση, Ζίβκοβιτς, με την επιθετική τριπλέτα να αποτελείται από τους Τάισον, Κωνσταντέλια και Πέλκα, με τον Μπράντον Τόμας (!) στην κορυφή της επίθεσης.

Ο δε Παναθηναϊκός, γνωρίζοντας εκ των προτέρων ότι δεν μπορεί να υπολογίζει στους Μλαντένοβιτς, Μπακασέτα και Κώτσιρα, κινήθηκε με τον Ντραγκόφσκι κάτω από την εστία, τους Ίνγκασον και Γεντβάι στα στόπερ και τους Βαγιαννίδη (δεξιά) και Λημνιό (αριστερά) στα μπακ. Στην μεσαία γραμμή οι Σιώπης, Μαξίμοβιτς και Ουναΐ, με τους Τζούρισιτς και Πελίστρι στα «φτερά» και τον Σφιντέρσκι στην κορυφή της επίθεσης, στην επιστροφή του ως αντίπαλος στην Τούμπα.

Όπως και στα υπόλοιπα ματς του μίνι πρωταθλήματος, έτσι και σε αυτό, επιβεβαιώθηκε πως τα ντέρμπι είναι παιχνίδια λαθών. Όποιος κάνει τα περισσότερα, «καίγεται». Και οι πράσινοι έβαλαν φωτιά με το... καλησπέρα της αναμέτρησης, εκμεταλλευόμενοι άψογα το... αχρείαστο κόρνερ που έδωσε ο ΠΑΟΚ μόλις στο 3ο λεπτό της αναμέτρησης. Οι παίκτες του Ρουί Βιτόρια το εκτέλεσαν με πάσα από τα αριστερά, ο Ουναΐ έβγαλε τη σέντρα με το δεξί, ο Ίνγκασον έκανε το παράλληλο γύρισμα από το δεύτερο δοκάρι με το κεφάλι και ο Γεντβάι έστειλε την μπάλα στα δίχτυα για το 0-1!

Ο Παναθηναϊκός δεν κατάφερε να επενδύσει στο γρήγορο γκολ, κινήθηκε ως επί το πλείστον με βαθιές μπαλιές στην πλάτη της άμυνας του ΠΑΟΚ που ανασυντάχθηκε άμεσα από την ψυχρολουσία και ανέλαβε μετά το 15λεπτο τα ηνία του παιχνιδιού. Μία μόλις τελική (1/1) στο στόχο κατέγραψε η στατιστική υπηρεσία του ημιχρόνου για το «Τριφύλλι», την ώρα που ο ΠΑΟΚ έκλεισε με 8 τελικές εκ των οποίων 4 στο στόχο. 

Από το 15λεπτο και έπειτα, ο ΠΑΟΚ εφοδιάστηκε με αρκετή υπομονή στο παιχνίδι του, είδε διάφορες συνεργασίες και εμπνεύσεις να μένουν στη... μέση, ωστόσο, ανέβασε αισθητά ένταση, πρέσαρε ψηλά τον Παναθηναϊκό και επιβραβεύθηκε με το γκολ ισοφάρισης. Πρώτη προειδοποίηση με ένα ωραίο μακρινό σουτ του Μειτέ που απέκρουσε ο Ντραγκόφσκι, στο 24΄ το σφυροκόπημα του ΠΑΟΚ δεν ολοκληρώθηκε, με τον Μπράντον να στέλνει την μπάλα άουτ ενώ στο 30΄ ο Ότο έφυγε στην πλάτη της άμυνας του Παναθηναϊκού από δεξιά και έκανε το γύρισμα, όμως το σουτ που δοκίμασε ο Πέλκας κατέληξε στα σώματα.

Μία ακόμη προειδοποίηση, η τελευταία, πριν το οριστικό «χτύπημα», σημειώθηκε στο 35΄όταν ο Καμαρά πήρε τη κεφαλιά μέσα στη μικρή περιοχή αλλά ο κίπερ του Παναθηναϊκού κατέγραψε δύσκολη επέμβαση. Ένα λεπτό αργότερα, ο ΠΑΟΚ έφερε το ματς στα ίσα, «πληρώνοντας» τον αντίπαλό του με το ίδιο νόμισμα. Με γκολ που προήλθε από κόρνερ. Ο Πέλκας ανέλαβε την εκτέλεση, ο Μιχαηλίδης πήρε το ριμπάουντ και με αριστερό σουτ στην κίνηση και μία ανεπανάληπτη οβίδα νίκησε τον Ντραγκόφσκι για το 1-1.

Με το πόδι στο... γκάζι μέχρι την ανάπαυλα οι Θεσσαλονικείς, δημιούργησαν τις προϋποθέσεις για να ζορίσουν κι άλλο τον Παναθηναϊκό, με χαρακτηριστικότερη τη φάση στο 39΄όταν ο Τάισον πάτησε περιοχή, έκανε το επικίνδυνο γύρισμα, όμως κανείς παίκτης του Δικεφάλου δεν βρέθηκε στην πορεία της μπάλας. Με το δείκτη του σκορ στο 1-1 αναχώρησαν για τα αποδυτήρια οι δύο ομάδες.

Παρόμοιο σκηνικό και στο β΄ημίχρονο, με τον Παναθηναϊκό σε έναν εντελώς παθητικό ρόλο και τον ΠΑΟΚ να κρατά σταθερά τα ηνία του ματς στα χέρια του και την μπάλα στα πόδια του. Κάπως έτσι δεν άργησε να έρθει η ανατροπή για τον Δικέφαλο, με τον Τάισον να είναι πανταχού παρών σε κάθε λάθος και... πούλημα της μπάλας από τους παίκτες του Παναθηναϊκό. Στο 57΄με εξαιρετική ενέργεια, ο Βραζιλιάνος έστρωσε στον Καμαρά που πάτησε περιοχή και με πλασέ εκτέλεσε τον Ντραγκόφσκι για το 2-1! Αυτό ήταν το 10ο γκολ του Καμαρά την φετινή σεζόν με τον ΠΑΟΚ, ωστόσο, είναι το πρώτο που προέρχεται από τα πόδια και όχι το κεφάλι του...

Στο 62', νέα απίθανη κούρσα Τάισον και εκτέλεση, με τον κίπερ των πρασίνων να βάζει stop για άλλη μια φορά. Τετέ, η πρώτη κίνηση από πλευράς Παναθηναϊκού, Αντρίγια η απάντηση του ΠΑΟΚ στο 60'. Δέκα λεπτά αργότερα, όλα για όλα από τον Ρουί Βιτόρια, επιστρατεύοντας Ιωαννίδη και κινούμενος με δύο φορ προκειμένου να «κυνηγήσει» το γκολ της ισοφάρισης. Τσέριν και Σβαμπ οι κινήσεις στον άξονα από τους δύο προπονητές, με τον Λουτσέσκου να προσανατολίζεται σε ένα 4-3-3, θωρακίζοντας τον άξονα και «φρεσκάροντας» την επίθεση στο 75΄με τον Τσάλοβ να αντικαθιστά τον Μπράντον. 

Ο ΠΑΟΚ θα μπορούσε να ανεβάσει κι άλλο τον δείκτη του σκορ, ωστόσο, στο 82΄πέταξε στα σκουπίδια τεράστια ευκαιρία με πρωταγωνιστή τον Τσάλοβ. Ο Ρώσος γήκε σε θέση τετ α τετ με τον Ντραγκόφσκι, όμως καθυστέρησε υπερβολικά, με αποτέλεσμα η προσπάθεια του να βρει την απάντηση του Πολωνού τερματοφύλακα. Απαντήσεις όμως δεν βρήκε ποτέ ο Παναθηναϊκός απέναντι στον ΠΑΟΚ που ήταν ανώτερος στο σύνολό του και ανάγκασε τον Βιτόρια να παίξει τα ρεστά του, κινούμενος και με τρεις φορ στο φινάλε, ρίχνοντας μέσα και τον Γερεμέγιεφ.

Η βραδιά όμως ανήκε στον ΠΑΟΚ που κατέγραψε μία ακόμη ανατροπή σε αυτά τα playoffs, κρατά δεδομένα την τύχη στα χέρια του και έχει αποδείξει πως έχει το χαρακτήρα και το μέταλλο να γυρίσει... τούμπα μία πολύ πολύ δύσκολη χρονιά. Πισωγύρισμα και προβληματισμός για τον Παναθηναϊκό.
