Maccabi Tel Aviv: Turns the page in management with the aim of returning to the top of the EuroLeague

Maccabi Tel Aviv is taking a decisive step and is preparing to turn the page in administrative matters with a new investor, according to Israeli publications.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is preparing to enter a new administrative era, with the entry of a new investor.

The goal of the “people's team” is to return to the EuroLeague Final Four and to the top of Europe, something that has been happening since 2014.

According to publications in Israel, Pedenko Sports, which owns 29% of the team's shares, announced on Tuesday (26/05) that an agreement was reached with a new investor.

Rapyd, a company active in the technology sector, is a sponsor of Maccabi and its CEO, Arik Stillman, bought 50% of Pedenko Sports. In addition, he is expected to join the board of directors of Pride of Israel on behalf of the company.

Stillman spoke to ONE and emphasized that:

“My goal is to bring Maccabi back to where it belongs and for the club to truly participate in the EuroLeague again. There were discussions about my joining and I wanted to have real influence, not just be a simple shareholder. I wanted to take over the share of the company owned by the Federman family and be on the board of directors of Maccabi, with the ability to influence the budget and other decisions. Ultimately, the family sold their share to me.

I bought half of Federman’s share and on top of that we are offering an additional $30 million to strengthen the team. This will help the club become significantly stronger, but of course it all depends on the other shareholders.”

Maccabi's plan has set a target for 2030, while it publicly supported Katas and noted the following: "Our goal is to show that he is the best coach and that he can lead Maccabi to the end."

Η Μακάμπι Τελ Αβίβ κάνει αποφασιστικό βήμα και ετοιμάζεται να γυρίσει σελίδα στα διοικητικά θέματα με νέο επενδυτή, σύμφωνα με ισραηλινά δημοσιεύματα.

Η Μακάμπι Τελ Αβίβ ετοιμάζεται να περάσει σε νέα διοικητική εποχή, με την είσοδο νέου επενδυτή.

Στόχος της “ομάδας του λαού” είναι να επιστρέψει στο Final Four της EuroLeague και στην κορυφή της Ευρώπης, κάτι που έχει να συμβεί από το 2014.

Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα στο Ισραήλ, η Pedenko Sports που κατέχει το 29% των μετοχών της ομάδας, ενημέρωσε την Τρίτη (26/05) πως επετεύχθη συμφωνία με νέο επενδυτή.

Η Rapyd,  εταιρεία που δραστηριοποιείται στον τεχνολογικό κάδο, είναι χορηγός της Μακάμπι και ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της, Άρικ Στίλμαν, αγόρασε το 50% της Pedenko Sports. Επιπλέον, αναμένεται να γίνει μέλος του διοικητικού συμβουλίου του Pride of Israel εκ μέρους της εταιρείας.

Ο Στίλμαν μίλησε στο ONE και τόνισε πως:

“Στόχος μου είναι να επαναφέρω τη Μακάμπι εκεί που ανήκει και ο σύλλογος να συμμετέχει ξανά πραγματικά στην EuroLeague. Υπήρξαν συζητήσεις για την ένταξη μου και ήθελα να έχω πραγματική επιρροή, όχι να είμαι ένας απλός μέτοχος. Ήθελα να αναλάβω το μερίδιο της εταιρείας που κατέχει η οικογένεια Φέντερμαν και να είμαι στο διοικητικό συμβούλιο της Μακάμπι, με την ικανότητα να επηρεάζω τον προϋπολογισμό και άλλες αποφάσεις. Τελικά, η οικογένεια μου πούλησε το μερίδιό της.

Αγόρασα το μισό μερίδιο του Φέντερμαν και επιπλέον προσφέρουμε επιπλέον 30 εκατομμύρια δολάρια για να ενισχύσουμε την ομάδα. Αυτό θα βοηθήσει τον σύλλογο να γίνει σημαντικά πιο δυνατός, αλλά φυσικά όλα εξαρτώνται από τους άλλους μετόχους”.

Το πλάνο της Μακάμπι έχει θέσει στόχο το 2030, ενώ στήριξε δημόσια τον Κάτας και επισήμανε το εξής: “Στόχος μας είναι να δείξουμε ότι είναι ο καλύτερος προπονητής και ότι μπορεί να οδηγήσει τη Μακάμπι ως το τέλος”.
