At 31 and without a club since last summer when he left Newcastle on a free transfer, the German goalkeeper has agreed a six-month contract with Schalke.
With his career taking a... downward spiral following his departure from Liverpool, Karius is set to return to action in defense of Schalke, who are in Germany's second division and 13th her rating.

Στα 31 του και όντας χωρίς ομάδα από το περασμένο καλοκαίρι, όταν αποχώρησε ως ελεύθερος από τη Νιούκαστλ, ο Γερμανός τερματοφύλακας έφτασε σε συμφωνία για συμβόλαιο διάρκειας έξι μηνών με τη Σάλκε.
Με την καριέρα του να έχει πάρει... την κατιούσα μετά την αποχώρησή του από τη Λίβερπουλ, ο Κάριους είναι έτοιμος να επιστρέψει στην αγωνιστική δράση για να υπερασπιστεί την εστία της Σάλκε, η οποία βρίσκεται στη δεύτερη κατηγορία της Γερμανίας και στην 13η θέση της βαθμολογίας της.
