Panionios announced the start of a collaboration with Bulgarian setter Kristina Guntseva.

Panionios continues to strengthen its women's volleyball team, aiming to make it a star. A few hours after the news that it is bringing Sheridan Atkinson to Nea Smyrni, Panionios announced the start of a collaboration with Kristina Guntseva.

The 31-year-old setter from Bulgaria, with a rich resume and presence in the Champions League and the CEV Cup, joins Panionios so that with her experience she can become the brains of the team.

"The governing committee of Panionios' women's volleyball department announces the start of its collaboration with Kristina Guntseva. The 31-year-old setter is originally from Bulgaria and is 1.80 m tall.

She started her career at VC Maritza and in the 2013/2014 season she played in Turkey with the Ordu Türk Telekom jersey. The following season she transferred to the Hungarian TFSE, followed by her stint with the Swiss Edelline Köniz.

In the 2017-2018 season she returned to her homeland for Levski Sofia and later played for three years in Romania with the jersey of CS Știința Bacău and Dinamo București. In the 2021-2022 season she returned to VC Maritza and the following year she was transferred to the French Volley-Ball Club Chamalières.

In the 2023-2024 season she wore the jersey of the German SC Potsdam, while the start of the current season found her in Montenegro, specifically on the roster of OK Herceg. She is an international with the Bulgarian national team, and has also played in all the development teams.

Among other things, she has won a championship and two Bulgarian cups, as well as this year's Super Cup in Montenegro, while she has successfully competed in the Champions League and CEV Cup.

Kristina Guntseva stated about her transfer to Panionios: "I am very excited about my arrival at Panionios. There is a great organization in the team and everyone welcomed me in the best way. I am very positive about the future and I believe that we will achieve our goals."

Ο Πανιώνιος ανακοίνωσε την έναρξη συνεργασίας με τη Βουλγάρα πασαδόρο, Κριστίνα Γκούντσεβα.

Ο Πανιώνιος συνεχίζει να ενισχύει την ομάδα βόλεϊ γυναικών, με στόχο να την κάνει πρωταγωνίστρια. Λίγες ώρες μετά την είδηση ότι φέρνει στη Νέα Σμύρνη τη Σέρινταν Ατκινσον, ο Πανιώνιος ανακοίνωσε την έναρξη συνεργασίας με την Κριστίνα Γκούντσεβα.

Η 31χρονη πασαδόρος από την Βουλγαρία, με πλούσιο βιογραφικό και με παρουσία στο Champions League και στο CEV Cup, εντάσσεται στον Πανιώνιο ώστε με την εμπειρία της να αποτελέσει το μυαλό της ομάδας.

«Η διοικούσα επιτροπή του τμήματος βόλεϊ γυναικών του Πανιωνίου ανακοινώνει την έναρξη της συνεργασίας της με την Κριστίνα Γκούντσεβα. Η 31χρονη πασαδόρος κατάγεται από την Βουλγαρία και έχει ύψος 1.80 μ.

Ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της από την VC Maritza και τη σεζόν 2013/2014 αγωνίστηκε στην Τουρκία με τη φανέλα της Ordu Türk Telekom. Την επόμενη σεζόν πήρε μεταγραφή στην ουγγρική TFSE, ενώ ακολούθησε η θητεία της στην ελβετική Edelline Köniz.

Τη χρονιά 2017-2018 επέστρεψε στην πατρίδα της για λογαριασμό της Levski Sofia και μετέπειτα αγωνίστηκε για τρία χρόνια στη Ρουμανία με τη φανέλα της CS Știința Bacău και της Dinamo București. Τη σεζόν 2021-2022 επέστρεψε στην VC Maritza και την επόμενη χρονιά πήρε μεταγραφή στην γαλλική Volley-Ball Club Chamalières.

Τη σεζόν 2023-2024 φόρεσε τη φανέλα της γερμανικής SC Potsdam, ενώ το ξεκίνημα της τρέχουσας αγωνιστικής περιόδου τη βρήκε στο Μαυροβούνιο και συγκεκριμένα στο ρόστερ της OK Herceg. Είναι διεθνής με την εθνική Βουλγαρίας, ενώ έχει αγωνιστεί και σε όλες τις αναπτυξιακές ομάδες.

Μεταξύ άλλων έχει κατακτήσει ένα πρωτάθλημα και δύο κύπελλα Βουλγαρίας, όπως και το φετινό Σούπερ Καπ στο Μαυροβούνιο, ενώ έχει αγωνιστεί με επιτυχία σε Champions League και CEV Cup.

Η Κριστίνα Γκούντσεβα δήλωσε για τη μεταγραφή της στον Πανιώνιο: "Είμαι πολύ ενθουσιασμένη για τον ερχομό μου στον Πανιώνιο. Υπάρχει μεγάλη οργάνωση στην ομάδα και όλοι με υποδέχτηκαν με με τον καλύτερο τρόπο. Είμαι πολύ θετική για τη συνέχεια και πιστεύω πως θα πετύχουμε τους στόχους μας».
