Melberg: Packing for MLS
Olof Melberg appears to have found the next stop in his coaching career after agreeing terms with MLS side St. Louis.
The former Olympiakos footballer, Olof Melberg is ready to leave Europe for the first time in his coaching career, after according to the authoritative journalist Tom Bogert he has joined hands with St. Louis from the MLS to continue his work there.
The 47-year-old Swedish coach, who wore the shirt of the "red and whites" for a three-year stay etched in the memories of their fans, is currently at Brompoikarna (his second term), in which he took a job in January 2023.
He had previously sat on the bench at both Fremant Amager in Denmark and Helsingborgs in his home country while his first job was again at Brompoikarna (Jan. 2016 - Dec. 2017) while also holding the position of the club's Director of Football for a short period (Jul. 2017 - Oct. 2017).

Ο πρώην ποδοσφαιριστής του Ολυμπιακού, Όλοφ Μέλμπεργκ είναι έτοιμος να βγει για πρώτη φορά από την Ευρώπη στην προπονητική του καριέρα, αφού σύμφωνα με τον έγκυρο δημοσιογράφο Τομ Μπόγκερτ έχει δώσει τα χέρια με την Σεντ Λούις από το MLS για να συνεχίσει εκεί την δουλειά του.
Ο 47χρονος Σουηδός κόουτς, που φόρεσε την φανέλα των «ερυθρολεύκων» για μία τριετία μένοντα χαραγμένος στις μνήμες των οπαδών τους, είναι αυτή τη στιγμή στην Μπρομαποϊκάρνα (δεύτερη θητεία του), στην οποία έπιασε δουλειά τον Γενάρη του 2023.
Νωρίτερα είχε κάτσει στον πάγκο τόσο των Φρίμαντ Άμαγκερ της Δανίας όσο και της Χέλσινγκμποργκς της πατρίδας του ενώ η πρώτη του δουλειά ήταν ξανά στην Μπρομαποϊκάρνα (Γεν. 2016 - Δεκ. 2017 ) ενώ παράλληλα είχε και το πόστο του Διευθυντή ποδοσφαίρου του κλαμπ για ένα μικρό διάστημα (Ιουλ. 2017 - Οκτ. 2017).
