The president of Hapoel Tel Aviv, Ofer Yanai, dropped a "bombshell" in his statements during the presentation of Dimitris Itoudis, stressing that from the new season there will be other competitions besides the Euroleague that the teams will be able to invest in.

Ο πρόεδρος της Χάποελ Τελ Αβίβ, Οφέρ Γιανάι, έριξε «βόμβα» σε δηλώσεις του κατά τη διάρκεια της παρουσίασης του Δημήτρη Ιτούδη, τονίζοντας πως από τη νέα σεζόν θα υπάρχουν κι άλλες διοργανώσεις πέρα από την Euroleague που θα μπορούν οι ομάδες να επενδύσουν.

Ο Γιανάι άφησε ένα πέπλο μυστηρίου να αιωρείται αναφορικά με την επόμενη σεζόν, χωρίς να τονίσει να τα λεγόμενά του έχουν να κάνουν με την πιθανή ένωση του Eurocup με το Basketball Champions League ή μία νέα διοργάνωση.

Αναλυτικά όσα είπε:

«Πιστεύω ότι το επόμενο καλοκαίρι το ευρωπαϊκό μπάσκετ θα έχει περισσότερες επιλογές από την Euroleague για ομάδες που θέλουν να αγωνιστούν και ομάδες που θέλουν να επενδύσουν πολλά χρήματα. Δεν θα είναι σίγουρα η Euroleague η μόνη επιλογή για εμάς.

Θέλω να είμαστε έτοιμοι για όλες τις επιλογές που θα έχουμε το καλοκαίρι, έτοιμοι από την άποψη του να έχουμε μια μεγάλη ομάδα, εξαιρετικό προπονητή και μεγάλους οπαδούς, όλα αυτά μαζί θα μας κάνουν μια ελκυστική ομάδα για ένα πρωτάθλημα, αν υπάρχει ανταγωνισμός μεταξύ των πρωταθλημάτων και νομίζω ότι έρχεται ο ανταγωνισμός μεταξύ των πρωταθλημάτων».
