Portuguese legend Luis Figo took part in a different football match, playing ball - and scoring with scissors - at an altitude of 6166 meters, breaking, of course, the relevant record!
He may have retired from competitive action, but football doesn't stop for legendary Portuguese midfielder Luis Figo.
This time his... grace reached an altitude of 6166 meters, in an alternate "football concept"!
The two teams lined up on a specially designed field inside the plane, which took off at 6,000 meters so that football could be played for the first time at such a high altitude and without gravity.
We would say that this different encounter was absolutely successful, since it entered the Guinness Book of Records, which was, after all, the goal.
For the record, Figo's team prevailed with a score of 2-1, with him being anointed the scorer with a terrible scissor!

Ο Πορτογάλος θρύλος Λουίς Φίγκο πήρε μέρος σε έναν διαφορετικό ποδοσφαιρικό αγώνα, παίζοντας μπάλα -και σκοράροντας με ψαλιδάκι- σε υψόμετρο 6166 μέτρων, διαλύοντας, φυσικά, το σχετικό ρεκόρ!
Μπορεί να έχει αποσυρθεί από την αγωνιστική δράση, αλλά το ποδόσφαιρο δεν σταματά για τον θρυλικό Πορτογάλο μέσο, Λουίς Φίγκο.
Αυτήν τη φορά η… χάρη του έφτασε σε υψόμετρο 6166 μέτρων, σε ένα ενναλακτικό «ποδοσφαιρικό concept»!
Οι δύο ομάδες παρατάχθηκαν σε ένα ειδικά διαμορφωμένο γήπεδο στο εσωτερικό του αεροπλάνου, που απογειώθηκε στα 6000 και κάτι μέτρα, ούτως ώστε να παιχτεί ποδόσφαιρο για πρώτη φορά σε τόσο μεγάλο υψόμετρο και χωρίς βαρύτητα.
Απόλυτα επιτυχημένη θα λέγαμε πως ήταν η διαφορετική αυτή αναμέτρηση, μιας και πέρασε στο βιβλίο των ρεκόρ Γκίνες, που ήταν, άλλωστε και ο στόχος.
Για την ιστορία η ομάδα του Φίγκο επικράτησε με σκορ 2-1, με τον ίδιο να χρίζεται και σκόρερ με τρομερό ψαλιδάκι!
