Grealish for Roy Keane: "I do not tolerate being told I did not want to take a penalty"

A comment by Roy Keane on British television made Jack Grealish go out of his way to respond on social media, having put himself at the disposal of Gareth Southgate for the penalties of the Euro final.

The veteran Manchester United midfielder and current SkySports commentator, having seen Bukayo Saka take the 5th and ... fatal, as it turned out, penalty for England in the Wembley final, said: "You can not be the "Grealish or Sterling and let a child go before you take a penalty."

Grealish through social media gave his answer in a rather intense style, writing:

"I said I wanted to take a penalty! The coach makes the decisions and as he did throughout the tournament, so now he made the choices that seemed right. However, I do not tolerate being told that I did not want to take a penalty ".

Ένα σχόλιο του Ρόι Κιν στην βρετανική τηλεόραση έκανε τον Τζακ Γκρίλις να βγει εκτός εαυτού και ν' απαντήσει στα social media, έχοντας θέσει εαυτόν στη διάθεση του Γκάρεθ Σάουθγκεϊτ για τα πέναλτι του τελικού του Euro.

Ο παλαίμαχος χαφ της Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ και νυν τηλεσχολιαστής στο SkySports, έχοντας δει τον Μπουκάγιο Σάκα ν' αναλαμβάνει το 5ο και... μοιραίο, όπως αποδείχθηκε, πέναλτι για την Αγγλία στον τελικό του «Γουέμπλεϊ», ανέφερε: «Δεν γίνεται να είσαι ο Γκρίλις ή ο Στέρλινγκ και ν' αφήνεις ένα παιδί να πάει πριν από εσένα να εκτελέσει πέναλτι».

Ο Γκρίλις μέσω social media έδωσε την απάντησή του σε αρκετά έντονο ύφος, γράφοντας:

«Εγώ είπα ότι ήθελα να χτυπήσω πέναλτι! Ο προπονητής παίρνει τις αποφάσεις και όπως το έκανε και καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια του τουρνουά, έτσι και τώρα έκανε τις επιλογές που φάνταζαν σωστές. Όμως, δεν ανέχομαι να μου λένε ότι δεν ήθελα να χτυπήσω πέναλτι».
