 Ο Χορχέ Σαμπαόλι άφησε την Σεβίλλη αποδεχόμενος την υπέρτατη πρόκληση να κάτσει στον πάγκο του αντιπροσωπευτικού συγκροτήματος της χώρας του και να το οδηγήσει στην πιο ψηλή θέση στον κόσμο στο Μουντιάλ της Ρωσίας και στα πρώτα του βήματα δείχνει πως είναι αποφασισμένος να κάνει ό,τι θεωρεί αναγκαίο για το σκοπό αυτό, αδιαφορώντας για την κριτική.

 Όσον αφορά στο ματς με την Σιγκαπούρη; οΙ Φάτσιο και Μαμάνα ήταν οι δύο σέντερ μπακ που είχαν την υποχρέωση να "προστατεύουν" τον γκολκίπερ Ρομέρο, ο Μπίγλια ήταν μπροστά τους και οι Σάλβιο και Ακούνα δίπλα του ως εσωτερικοί μέσοι.

 Από εκεί και πέρα η δις παγκόσμια πρωταθλήτρια είχε πέντε παίκτες από τη μεσαία γραμμή και μπροστά για να ταλαιπωρήσουν τους αντίπαλους αμυντικούς και αυτοί ήταν οι Παπού Γκόμες, Ντι Μαρία, Ντιμπάλα, Κορέα και Λαντσίνι. Το σύστημα αυτό "έβγαλε τα λεφτά του" αν κρίνει κάποιος από το τελικό 6-0 υπέρ της Αργεντινής και ακόμα και αν δεν το δούμε σε άλλο παιχνίδι (το πιθανότερο) ο Σαμπαόλι κατάφερε ήδη να γράψει ιστορία...
