Moneke: "I'm a Baskonia player and I'm looking forward to the new season"
Tsima Moneke put an end to the scenarios of his escape from Baskonia with an official post on Social Media.
Tsima Moneke (29 years old, 1.96) with a post on his personal account on Twitter stated that everything that has been heard lately regarding his future in Baskonia is nothing more than rumours.
The Nigerian center made it clear that he is a member of the Basques and is excited about the upcoming season in both the Spanish league and the EuroLeague, stating that he has already entered into discussions with Baskonia coach Pablo Lasso regarding the new year.
Last season the 29-year-old center on the EuroLeague floor averaged 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 24:44 minutes of participation.
I genuinely don’t know who is making up all these rumors but they’re getting tiring. I’m a Baskonia player and I’m really excited for this season. I spoke to Coach Laso yesterday and I think we have a chance to do something special this season 🤞🏾

Ο Τσίμα Μονέκε (29 ετών, 1.96) με ανάρτηση του στον προσωπικό του λογαριασμό στο Twitter δήλωσε πως ό,τι ακούγεται τον τελευταίο καιρό σχετικά με το μέλλον του στην Μπασκόνια δεν είναι τίποτα παραπάνω πέρα από φήμες.
Ο Νιγηριανός σέντερ ξεκαθάρισε πως αποτελεί μέλος των Βάσκων και είναι ενθουσιασμένος για την επερχόμενη σεζόν τόσο στο ισπανικό πρωτάθλημα όσο και στην διοργάνωση της EuroLeague δηλώνοντας πως έχει έρθει ήδη σε συζητήσεις με τον προπονητή της Μπασκόνια, Πάμπλο Λάσο σχετικά με την καινούρια χρονιά.
Την περασμένη σεζόν ο 29χρονος σέντερ στα παρκέ της EuroLeague μέτρησε 13.6 πόντους, 6.6 ριμπάουντ και 1.4 ασίστ κατά μέσο όρο σε 24:44 λεπτά συμμετοχής.
