A Times article states that the European Football Association does not rule out the reversal of the decision for two teams to participate in the Champions League with a wild card.

The Champions League is changing from 2024, however some of the changes brought by UEFA may not go ahead.

According to the Times, the European Football Association is making second thoughts about the decision to give two wild cards to the Champions League groups.

These two places will go to teams whose countries will not secure a place in the groups, but are high in the UEFA rankings.

The issue will be discussed by the UEFA Executive Committee in September, when any decisions regarding the future of the top inter-club competition in Europe are expected to be ratified.

Δημοσίευμα των Times αναφέρει ότι στην Ευρωπαϊκή ομοσπονδία ποδοσφαίρου δεν αποκλείουν την αναίρεση της απόφασης για συμμετοχή δύο ομάδων στο Champions League με wild card.

Το Champions League αλλάζει από το 2024, ωστόσο ορισμένες από τις αλλαγές που φέρνει η UEFA, ενδέχεται να μην προχωρήσουν.

Σύμφωνα με τους Times, η Ευρωπαϊκή ομοσπονδία ποδοσφαίρου κάνει δεύτερες σκέψεις για την απόφαση να δοθούν δύο wild card στους ομίλους του Champions League.

Οι δύο θέσεις αυτές θα πηγαίνουν σε ομάδες που οι χώρες τους δεν θα εξασφαλίσουν θέση στους ομίλους, αλλά βρίσκονται ψηλά στη βαθμολογία της UEFA.

Το θέμα θα συζητηθεί από την Εκτελεστική Επιτροπή της UEFA εντός Σεπτεμβρίου, όταν και αναμένεται να επικυρωθούν οι όποιες αποφάσεις αφορούν το μέλλον της κορυφαίας διασυλλογικής διοργάνωσης στην Ευρώπη.
