F1 - Kimi Antonelli: Similarities with Senna and impressive statistics
The winner of the Japanese Grand Prix, Kimi Antonelli, is writing his own history in this year's Formula 1 championship and imitating champions of the past.
Without a doubt, Kimi Antonelli is developing into a new star of Formula 1. The Italian driver of Mercedes-AMG took victory in the Japanese Grand Prix and did so with ease despite a bad start.
With the triumph in Suzuka, he reached his second consecutive victory of the year and climbed to the top of the drivers' standings.

The 19-year-old Italian is changing the data in Formula 1, his successes confirm it and everything shows that he has a bright future ahead of him. The Italian became:
The first Italian driver since Alberto Ascari in 1953 (ed. 73 years ago) to take two consecutive victories.
The youngest Formula 1 drivers' championship leader at the age of 19 years and 216 days.
The fourth driver in F1 history after Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton to take pole position after their first victory.
The first Italian driver since Giancarlo Fisichella in 2005 to take the lead in the drivers' championship.
The only driver before the age of 20 to win more than one race in Formula 1.

The similarities with Senna
Antonelli has stated in the past that his childhood idol was Ayrton Senna and his mentor was Lewis Hamilton. The Italian is in his second season in Formula 1 and already has many similarities with the Brazilian legend. Specifically, Antonelli and Senna:
They both took their second pole position in the race after their first win.
They took their maiden pole and victory in the second race of their second season in Formula 1.
Both took their first victory driving the number 12 car.
They both had three podiums in their maiden season.
They are on the list of four drivers with pole position in the race immediately following their first win.

Οι ομοιότητες με τον Σένα
Ο Αντονέλι έχει δηλώσει στο παρελθόν πως είδωλό του από παιδί ήταν ο Άιρτον Σένα και μέντοράς του ο Λιούις Χάμιλτον. Ο Ιταλός βρίσκεται στη δεύτερη σεζόν του στη Formula 1 και ήδη έχει πολλές ομοιότητες με τον Βραζιλιάνο θρύλο. Συγκεκριμένα οι Αντονέλι και Σένα:
Πήραν αμφότεροι τη δεύτερη pole position τους στον αγώνα μετά την πρώτη τους νίκη.
