Ο Παναθηναϊκός θα αναμετρηθεί με τον νικητή του ζευγαριού Μπράγκα - Μπάτσκα Τόπολα στα playoffs του Champions League, εφόσον αποκλείσει τη Μαρσέιγ στον τρίτο προκριματικό γύρο, όπως προέκυψε στην κλήρωση της Δευτέρας στη Νιόν.

Ο Παναθηναϊκός έμαθε τον πιθανό αντίπαλο στα playoffs του Champions League, αν ξεπεράσει το εμπόδιο της Μαρσέιγ. Το τριφύλλι θα αντιμετωπίσει τον νικητή του ζευγαριού Μπράγκα - Μπάτσκα Τόπολα.

Ο πρώτος αγώνας θα γίνει εκτός έδρας (Πορτογαλία ή Σερβία) στις 22/23 Αυγούστου και η ρεβάνς θα γίνει στην Αθήνα μια εβδομάδα μετά, στις 29/30 Αυγούστου. Οι ώρες των αγώνων θα γίνουν γνωστές μετά από τα ματς του τρίτου προκριματικού
