England: 1966 world champion George Cohen dies
At the age of 83, George Cohen, who was the main right-back of the England national team in the 1966 World Cup, the only one the "three lions" have won to date, has died.
The deceased played a total of 37 times for the England national team (right in the central photo), while at club level he spent his entire career at Fulham, with whom he made 459 appearances.

"George won 37 caps for England and was vice-captain of our World Cup winning team.
"We would like to pass on our deep condolences to George’s family and friends at this sad time."

The London club was also the one to announce the death of Cohen, whom it describes as one of the best players, as well as gentlemen, in the history of the club.
