Even though it is difficult, Stefanos Tsitsipas is in the third round of Roland Garros where the Swede Mikael Imer is waiting for him.

Stefanos Tsitsipas also had a hard time overcoming the ... unknown obstacle called Zdenek Kolar, at Roland Garros.

The No. 4 in the world prevailed with 3-1 sets (6-3, 7-6 (8), 6-7 (3), 7-6 (7)) after 4 hours and 6 minutes.

In the third round he has another passable opponent, Michael Immer, who beat Daniel Evans 3-1 set (6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3).

Comfortable 1-0 for Tsitsipa

With a forehand winner on the cross, Stefanos opened an account in the match. The Czech with a "weapon" the drop shot and his services, reached the equalizer. Tsitsipas in the next game found himself with a double break point in the back, however he took out three aces and led 2-1.

The first break came ... off for Tsitsipas who then served and reached 4-1 with two more aces and a forehand winner.

Kolar reacted and with an ace closed a love service game to reduce 4-2, but Stefanos reached 5-2 with good service and defenses that turned into a winner when the Czech was trying to attack.

The Czech with ace reduced to 5-3, but Tsitsipas with comfort and good first serve, closed the set in 34 minutes.

Tsitsipas survived from 1-4 and 3 set points of the Czech!

With love service game, Kolar entered the second set. Stefanos, however, came in just as determined and with three aces in the next game tied at 1-1. The Czech, however, with an ace of his own kept the lead (2-1).

Stefanos came under pressure as from an effortless mistake he gave a break to the Czech who led 3-1 and then with 4-1 keeping his service comfortable.

Tsitsipas reduced to 4-2 with a love service game and took back the break thanks to two winners and two effortless mistakes of Kolar, to reduce 4-3.

The draw came from a wrong assessment of the Czech, who even though it was difficult to keep his serve to lead 5-4. Stefanos served exceptionally and equalized at 5-5, but the Czech with a love service game reached 6-5.

For the second time, Tsitsipas served to stay in the set and was back with 15-40! He saved his opponent's two set points with his serve and the set went to a tie break.

There, the Czech made a gift of the mini break in the first point and Stefanos came to lead 3-0. Kolar with two of the many successes of the drop shot in the match, tied at 3-3. At 4-4, Stefanos made a big comeback and took the lead, to serve later. Kolar made the mistake and tied 5-5, but Stefanos reached a set point after an easy point.

However, with an incredible drop shot, the Czech equalized at 6-6. Kolar was ahead 7-6, but Stefanos also erased this set of points, found a second set of points of his own, but lost it by a marginal drop shot.

Finally with a mistake by the Czech and his own point in an amazing rally, he took the tie break with 10-8 and made it 2-0 in the sets.

New tie break and Kolar reduces to 2-1

With a lost Czech forward, Tsitsipas successfully started the third set. The 1-1 was made by a mistaken return of Stefanos who with a beautiful drop shot took a 2-1 lead.

Kolar with two winners equalized 2-2, but with two errors under pressure from the Czech, Stefanos kept his serve and the lead (3-2).

With a marginal shot on the line and a bad drop shot by Tsitsipas, Kolar equalized at 3-3, with Stefanos even though it is difficult to reach 4-3.

Nothing changed in the next two games, with the No. 4 in the world having a 5-4 lead and Kolar going to serve in order to stay in the match. And he managed with an ace, but Tsitsipas with his own good service reached 6-5. With his back to the wall, the Czech served again and sent the set to another tie break.

There, the Czech made an incredible mini-break with a lob, which took a 3-0 lead and the support of the audience who wanted to see another set. He also found a second mini-break to make it 4-1. Stefanos immediately erased one, but Kolar reached 4 sets of points and finally took the tie break with 7-3.

The fourth set

Tsitsipas threw 3 opportunities for break from bad hits in returns and Kolar made it 1-0. With a love service game, however, Stefanos equalized, who again lost the opportunity for a break with the No. 134 of the world remaining in front of the score (2-1).

It took 4 opportunities for Stefanos to make it 2-2 in his serve and the coveted break came in the fourth opportunity given to him in the set, to lead 3-2.

However, the break went to the ... garbage immediately as the Czech answered who also took a 4-3 lead. The 4-4 came with difficulty with a good serve by Tsitsipas, but the Czech with a love service game sent Stefanos to serve to stay on the set.

Tsitsipas made it 5-5 with an ace and then threw another break point to serve to stay in the set. He managed it with his service and we reached another tie break.

With a mini break, Kolar took a 4-2 lead and Tsitsipas' double mistake made it 5-2. Kolar reached 6-2, but Stefanos equalized to 6-6 from a good serve and an effortless mistake of his opponent! And he broke his serve again to reach a match point. However, he lost an easy forehand and became 7-7. He also found a second chance and in Kolar's serve he qualified for the third round.

Εστω και δύσκολα ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς είναι στον τρίτο γύρο του Roland Garros όπου τον περιμένει ο Σουηδός Μίκαελ Ιμερ.

Ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς πέρασε δύσκολα και από το... άγνωστο εμπόδιο που λεγόταν Ζντένεκ Κόλαρ, στο Roland Garros.

To No4 του κόσμου επικράτησε με 3-1 σετ (6-3, 7-6 (8), 6-7 (3), 7-6 (7)) μετά από 4 ώρες και 6 λεπτά.

Στον τρίτο γύρο έχει άλλον ένα βατό αντίπαλο, τον Μίκαελ Ιμερ, που κέρδισε με 3-1 σετ τον Ντάνιελ Εβανς (6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3).

Ανετο 1-0 για Τσιτσιπά

Με ένα forehand winner στη διαγώνιο ο Στέφανος άνοιξε λογαριασμό στο ματς. Ο Τσέχος με «όπλο» το drop shot και τα σερβίς του, έφτασε στην ισοφάριση. Ο Τσιτσιπάς στο επόμενο game βρέθηκε με διπλό break point στη πλάτη, ωστόσο έβγαλε τρεις άσους και προηγήθηκε 2-1.

Το πρώτο break ήρθε... σβηστά για τον Τσιτσιπά που στη συνέχεια σέρβιρε και έφτασε στο 4-1 με δύο ακόμη άσους και ένα forehand winner.

Ο Κόλαρ αντέδρασε και με άσο έκλεισε ένα love service game για να μειώσει 4-2, αλλά ο Στέφανος έφτασε στο 5-2 με καλά σερβίς και άμυνες που μετέτρεπε σε winner όταν ο Τσέχος προσπαθούσε να επιτεθεί.

Ο Τσέχος με άσο μείωσε σε 5-3, αλλά ο Τσιτσιπάς με άνεση και καλό πρώτο σερβίς, έκλεισε το σετ σε 34 λεπτά.

Επιβίωσε από 1-4 και 3 set point του Τσέχου ο Τσιτσιπάς!

Με love service game μπήκε στο δεύτερο σετ ο Κόλαρ. Ο Στέφανος όμως μπήκε εξίσου αποφασισμένος και με τρεις άσους στο επόμενο game ισοφάρισε σε 1-1. Ο Τσέχος όμως με έναν δικό του άσο διατήρησε το προβάδισμα (2-1).

Ο Στέφανος ήρθε υπό πίεση καθώς από ένα αβίαστο λάθος έδωσε break στον Τσέχο που προηγήθηκε 3-1 και στη συνέχεια με 4-1 κρατώντας άνετα το σερβίς του.

Ο Τσιτσιπάς μείωσε σε 4-2 με love service game και πήρε πίσω το break χάρη σε δύο winners και δύο αβίαστα λάθη του Κόλαρ, για να μειώσει 4-3.

Η ισοφάριση ήρθε από λάθος εκτίμηση του Τσέχου, ο οποίος έστω και δύσκολα κράτησε το σερβίς του για να προηγηθεί με 5-4. Ο Στέφανος σέρβιρε εξαιρετικά και ισοφάρισε σε 5-5, όμως ο Τσέχος με love service game έφτασε στο 6-5.

Για δεύτερη φορά ο Τσιτσιπάς σέρβιρε για να μείνει στο σετ και βρέθηκε πίσω με 15-40! Εσωσε με το σερβίς του τα δύο set point του αντιπάλου του και πήγε το σετ σε tie break.

Εκεί ο Τσέχος έκανε δώρο το μίνι break στον πρώτο πόντο και ο Στέφανος έφτασε να προηγείται 3-0. Ο Κόλαρ με δύο από τα πολλά πετυχημένα του drop shot στο ματς, ισοφάρισε σε 3-3. Στο 4-4 ο Στέφανος έβγαλε μεγάλη επιστροφή και πήρε προβάδισμα, για να σερβίρει στη συνέχεια. Εκανε το λάθος και ισοφάρισε 5-5 ο Κόλαρ, αλλά ο Στέφανος έφτασε σε set point μετά από εύκολο πόντο.

Ομως με ένα απίθανο drop shot o Τσέχος ισοφάρισε σε 6-6. Ο Κόλαρ προηγήθηκε 7-6, αλλά ο Στέφανος έσβησε κι αυτό το σετ πόιντ, βρήκε δεύτερο σετ πόιντ δικό του, αλλά το έχασε από ένα οριακό drop shot.

Τελικά με ένα λάθος του Τσέχου και έναν δικό του πόντο σε εκπληκτικό ράλι, πήρε το tie break με 10-8 και έκανε το 2-0 στα σετ.

Νέο tie break και μειώνει σε 2-1 ο Κόλαρ

Με χαμένο φόρχαντ του Τσέχου ο Τσιτσιπάς άρχισε πετυχημένα το τρίτο σετ. Το 1-1 έγινε από λάθος επιστροφή του Στέφανου που με ένα πανέμορφο drop shot πήρε προβάδισμα 2-1.

Ο Κόλαρ με δύο winners ισοφάρισε 2-2, αλλά με δύο λάθη υπό πίεση του Τσέχου, ο Στέφανος κράτησε το σερβίς του και το προβάδισμα (3-2).

Με ένα οριακό χτύπημα πάνω στη γραμμή και με κακά drop shot του Τσιτσιπά, ο Κόλαρ ισοφάρισε σε 3-3, με τον Στέφανο έστω και δύσκολα να φτάνει στο 4-3.

Δεν άλλαξε κάτι στα επόμενα δύο game, με το Νο4 του κόσμου να έχει προβάδισμα 5-4 και τον Κόλαρ να πηγαίνει για να σερβίρει ώστε να μείνει στο ματς. Και τα κατάφερε με έναν άσο, αλλά ο Τσιτσιπάς με δικά του καλά σερβίς έφτασε στο 6-5. Με την πλάτη στον τοίχο σέρβιρε ξανά ο Τσέχος και έστειλε το σετ σε ένα ακόμη tie break.

Εκεί έκανε ένα απίθανο μίνι μπρέικ με λόμπα ο Τσέχος, που πήρε προβάδισμα 3-0 και την στήριξη του κοινού που ήθελε να δει κι άλλο σετ. Βρήκε και δεύτερο μίνι μπρέικ για να κάνει το 4-1. Αμέσως έσβησε το ένα ο Στέφανος, αλλά ο Κόλαρ έφτασε σε 4 σετ πόιντ και τελικά πήρε το tie break με 7-3.

Το τέταρτο σετ

Ο Τσιτσιπάς πέταξε 3 ευκαιρίες για μπρέικ από κακά χτυπήματα σε επιστροφές και ο Κόλαρ έκανε το 1-0. Με love service game ωστόσο ισοφάρισε ο Στέφανος που έχασε ξανά ευκαιρία για break με το Νο134 του κόσμου να μένει μπροστά στο σκορ (2-1).

Χρειάστηκε 4 ευκαιρίες για να κάνει το 2-2 ο Στέφανος στο σερβίς του και το πολυπόθητο break ήρθε στην τέταρτη ευκαιρία που του δόθηκε στο σετ, για να προηγηθεί 3-2.

Ωστόσο πήγε στα...σκουπίδια αμέσως το break καθώς απάντησε ο Τσέχος που πήρε και προβάδισμα με 4-3. Το 4-4 ήρθε δύσκολα με ένα καλό σερβίς του Τσιτσιπά, όμως ο Τσέχος με love service game έστειλε τον Στέφανο να σερβίρει για να μείνει στο σετ.

Με άσο έκανε το 5-5 ο Τσιτσιπάς και πέταξε άλλο ένα break point στη συνέχεια για να σερβίρει για να μείνει στο σετ. Το κατάφερε με το σερβίς του και φτάσαμε σε ένα ακόμη tie break.

Με μίνι break o Κόλαρ πήρε προβάδισμα 4-2 και το διπλό λάθος του Τσιτσιπά έφερε το 5-2. Ο Κόλαρ έφτασε στο 6-2, αλλά ο Στέφανος ισοφάρισε σε 6-6 από καλά σερβίς του και ένα αβίαστο λάθος του αντιπάλου του! Και του έσπασε ξανά το σερβις για να φτάσει σε match point. Ομως έχασε ένα εύκολο φόρχαντ και έγινε το 7-7. Βρήκε και δεύτερη ευκαιρία όμως και στο σερβίς του Κόλαρ πήρε την πρόκριση στον τρίτο γύρο.
