Λάρισα και Αστέρας δεν κινδυνεύουν με υποβιβασμό ή με μπαράζ, επομένως το μόνο άτυπο κίνητρο στο μεταξύ τους παιχνίδι είναι η διεκδίκηση της κορυφής στα Play Out. O Αστέρας έδειξε να το θέλει περισσότερο και νίκησε 2-1 τη Λάρισα στο AEL FC Arena, προσπερνώντας τη στη βαθμολογία.
Η «κάψα» του Ματιέ και η έκπληξη του Μαρτίνς
Η Λάρισα ήταν αυτή η οποία προηγήθηκε στο 42’ με τον Μιλοσάβλιεβιτς. Ο Τόρζε εκτέλεσε το κόρνερ, ο Παπαδόπουλος έκανε λάθος έξοδο, ο Σεσέροβιτς πάσαρε με κεφαλιά και ο Σέρβος σκόραρε με πλασέ. Όμως, η ΑΕΛ δεν πρόλαβε να χαρεί το προβάδισμα της, αφού στις καθυστερήσεις του πρώτου ημιχρόνου, ο Μπαράλες ισοφάρισε με εύστοχη εκτέλεση πέναλτι. Την εσχάτη των ποινών κέρδισε ο Αργεντινός, όταν ο Μούζεκ τον ανέτρεψε στην προσπάθεια του να τον κόψει.
Την ανατροπή για τον Αστέρα ολοκλήρωσε ο Φερνάντεθ, με μία αριστοτεχνική εκτέλεση φάουλ στο 55’, στέλνοντας τη μπάλα στα δίχτυα του Κρίστινσον!
