Panionios set fire to the eve, bent Xanthi
A determined Panionios prevailed 2-1 over Xanthi in Nea Smyrni, caught Panetolikos at 21 points and is at -1 from the critical team, for the total come-back in the playoffs.
Panionios, which became the first team with three wins in the playoffs, is proving to be very tough to die, after with a goal by Maximovic in the 30 'and Tsilouli in the 66', they got the valuable three-pointer with 2-1. With this victory, the "blue-reds" caught Panetolikos in the standings with 21 points and more matches and are within shooting distance of Xanthi and specifically to a degree.
The hosts made the best use of Lisgara's misunderstanding with Sao Bento, to get a goal for them and get a head start in the score. And after Kotnik kept them in front of the score with an amazing intervention in the 54th minute in Kasado's head, they reached the 2nd goal with Sotiris Tsiloulis scoring again for the 3rd time in the playoffs. Xanthi had a goal in the 87th minute with Startjeon and managed to reduce with a penalty kick by Fosse in the 90 + 3 'that Gargalatzidis won from Lymperakis.

The match
The match started with Panionios trying to reach phases, but the visiting Xanthi looks better placed on the field. After a difficult first ten minutes in the replay and with Xanthi being blocked, the dangerous and reborn Panionios reached the 2nd goal with the leader Sotiris Tsiloulis. Maximovic took a corner from the left, Dominguez on the second post with the first header and Tsiloulis with a header on the 66 'scored 2-0, in a pandemonium. In the 68th minute, Arce missed the opportunity to score the 3rd goal, placing a close out shot.
Nikos Karageorgiou will turn it into a 4-4-2 from there on, replacing at 78 'both Castro and Fosse. Ένας αποφασισμένος Πανιώνιος επικράτησε 2-1 της Ξάνθης στη Νέα Σμύρνη, έπιασε τον Παναιτωλικό στους 21 βαθμούς και βρίσκεται στο -1 από την ακριτική ομάδα, για το ολικό come-back στα πλέι-άουτ.
Πολύ σκληρός για να πεθάνει αποδεικνύεται ο Πανιώνιος που έγινε η πρώτη ομάδα με τρεις νίκες στα πλέι-άουτ, αφού με γκολ των Μαξίμοβιτς στο 30’ και Τσιλούλη στο 66’ πήρε το πολύτιμο τρίποντο με 2-1. Με αυτή τη νίκη οι «κυανέρυθροι» έπιασαν στην βαθμολογία τον Παναιτωλικό με 21 πόντους και ματς περισσότερο και βρίσκονται σε απόσταση βολής από την Ξάνθη και συγκεκριμένα στον έναν βαθμό.
Οι γηπεδούχοι αξιοποίησαν με τον καλύτερο τρόπο μια ασυνεννοησία του Λισγάρα με τον Σάο Μπέντο, για να έρθει ένα γκολ δώρο γι’ αυτούς και να πάρουν κεφάλι στο σκορ. Κι αφού ο Κότνικ τους κράτησε μπροστά στο σκορ με μια εκπληκτική επέμβαση στο 54’ σε κεφαλιά του Κασάδο, έφτασαν στο 2ο τέρμα με τον Σωτήρη Τσιλούλη να σκοράρει και πάλι για 3η φορά στην διαδικασία των πλέι-άουτ. Η Ξάνθη είχε δοκάρι στο 87’ με τον Στάρτζεον και κατάφερε να μειώσει με πέναλτι του Φοσέ στο 90+3’ που κέρδισε ο Γκαργκαλατζίδης από τον Λυμπεράκη.
Πώς έπαιξαν
Οι δύο αντίπαλοι παρατάχθηκαν αμφότεροι με 4-2-3-1 και τον Μαξίμοβιτς πίσω από τον Τσιλούλη που έπαιζε σέντερ φορ για τους γηπεδούχους και τον Μπαριέντος πίσω από τον Κάστρο για τους φιλοξενούμενους.
Το ματς
Η αναμέτρηση ξεκίνησε με τον Πανιώνιο να προσπαθεί να φτάσει σε φάσεις, αλλά την φιλοξενούμενη Ξάνθη να μοιάζει πιο καλά τοποθετημένη στο γήπεδο. Στο 6ο λεπτό ο Μπαριέντος θα κλέψει από τον Ντομίγκες για να διώξει με το σώμα ο Σταυρόπουλος. Στο 9’ με έξοχη ντρίμπλα μπήκε από τα αριστερά ο Λυμπεράκης και έκανε το γύρισμα για να διώξει ο πορτιέρε της Ξάνθης. Στο 10’ ο Λυμπεράκης από γέμισμα του Παπαγεωργίου βρέθηκε ξανά σε θέση βολής, αλλά το σουτ που πέρασε πάνω από την εστία. Στο 12’ ο Ντε Αμορίμ μπήκε από αριστερά, αλλά πάλι ο Σταυρόπουλος με το κεφάλι ήταν εκείνος που απομάκρυνε την μπάλα
Η Ξάνθη έδειχνε να ελέγχει το ματς μέχρι την διακοπή στα μέσα του πρώτου μέρους για το cooling break, ενώ με την σειρά του ο Λεωνίδας Βόκολος, έφερε πιο πίσω τον Ρέντζα, για να βγει πιο μπροστά ο Παπαγεωργίου. Στο 26’ ο Κόρμπος έχασε την πρώτη σπουδαία ευκαιρία στο ματς, όταν έπαιξε το ένα δύο με τον Τσιλούλη, αλλά το πλασέ του με το αριστερό απέκρουσε ο Σάο Μπέντο. Από ένα αναπάντεχο λάθος του Λισγάρα, οι Νεοσμυρνιώτες έφτασαν τελικά στο γκολ κοντά στην συμπλήρωση του ημιώρου, όταν μετά από γύρισμα, ο Λισγάρας γύρισε ακόμα πιο πίσω στον τερματοφύλακα του, που είχε φτάσει σχεδόν στην γραμμή της περιοχής, για να πεταχτεί ο Μαξίμοβιτς και με πλασέ από πολύ κοντινή απόσταση αφού η μπάλα κυλούσε πολύ κοντά στην εστία να κάνει το 1-0, στα άδεια δίχτυα.
Ο Πανιώνιος θ’ απειλήσει και στο 34’ με το σουτ του κορυφαίου του στο α’ μέρος Λυμπεράκη, με την μπάλα να φεύγει λίγο έξω. Το μοναδικό που μπόρεσε να κάνει η Ξάνθη ήταν να απειλήσει με βολίδα του Μπαριέντος εκτός περιοχής, με τον Κότνικ να απομακρύνει για μείνει το 1-0.
Με την έναρξη της επανάληψης, ο Νίκος Καραγεωργίου, έριξε τους Μουλέν και Στάρτζον, αντί των Τζουρίτσκοβιτς και Καμαρά. Η Ξάνθη από στημένες μπάλες προσπάθησε να απειλήσει και να φέρει πίεση στον Πανιώνιο που στο 51’ είχε καλή στιγμή με τον Τσιλούλη που δεν μπόρεσε να ολοκληρώσει την προσπάθειά του, ενώ στο 54’ ο Κότνικ, υποχρεώθηκε σε εκπληκτική επέμβαση σε σκαστή κεφαλιά του Κασάδο, ενώ ο Σλοβένος ένα λεπτό νωρίτερα με το ένα χέρι είχε απομακρύνει και ένα φάουλ του Μπαριέντος.
Αφού πέρασε το δύσκολο πρώτο δεκάλεπτο στην επανάληψη και με την Ξάνθη να είναι μπλοκαρισμένη, ο επικίνδυνος και αναγεννημένος στα πλέι-άουτ Πανιώνιος έφτασε στο 2ο γκολ με τον ηγέτη του Σωτήρη Τσιλούλη. Ο Μαξίμοβιτς εκτέλεσε κόρνερ από αριστερά, ο Ντομίνγκες στο δεύτερο δοκάρι την πρώτη κεφαλιά και ο Τσιλούλης με κεφαλιά ψαράκι στο 66’ έγραψε το 2-0, μέσα σε πανδαιμόνιο. Στο 68’ ο Άρτσε έχασε την ευκαιρία να σημειώσει και το 3ο γκολ πλασάροντας από κοντά άουτ.
Ο Νίκος Καραγεωργίου θα το γυρίσει σε 4-4-2 από εκεί και μετά, αντικαθιστώντας στο 78’ και τον Κάστρο με τον Φοσέ. Όμως δεν θα μπορέσει να κάνει κάτι, αφού στο 87’ σε σέντρα του Ντε Αμορίμ και παρέμβαση του Φοσέ, ο Στάρτζεον από κοντά θα σημαδέψει το δοκάρι και έτσι οι «Ακρίτες» δεν μπόρεσαν να φτάσουν καν στην μείωση του σκορ. Με την είσοδο του ματς στις καθυστερήσεις ο Λυμπεράκης θα τραβήξει τον Γκαργκαλατζίδη και ο Φοσέ από την άσπρη βούλα θα μειώσει σε 2-1 στο 90+3’. Στο 90+6’ ο Γκαργκαλατζίδης δεν θα πιάσει καλά το σουτ μετά την άστοχη έξοδο του Κότνικ για να διώξουν σε κόρνερ οι παίκτες του Πανιωνίου, ενώ στο 90+7’ ο Κασάδο θα έχει κεφαλιά άουτ.
