The “eagles” of Lisbon took an important step towards qualifying for the League Phase, having essentially “cleaned up” the game from the first half. Rafa Silva opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute, Barreiro made it 2-0 in the 31st minute, while the Danes reduced the deficit five minutes later through Jorgensen.

And somewhere there, Pavlidis took over again. In the first half stoppage time, the Greek international striker took the penalty kick and made no mistake, making it 3-1 and giving Benfica another two-goal lead before both teams went to the locker room.

The 27-year-old forward is in impressive form at the start of the season, as he has scored 10 goals in six games in all competitions!

Οι «αετοί» της Λισαβόνας έκαναν σημαντικό βήμα για την πρόκριση στη League Phase, έχοντας ουσιαστικά «καθαρίσει» το παιχνίδι από το πρώτο ημίχρονο. Ο Ράφα Σίλβα άνοιξε το σκορ μόλις στο 2ο λεπτό, ο Μπαρέιρο έκανε το 2-0 στο 31′, ενώ οι Δανοί μείωσαν πέντε λεπτά αργότερα με τον Γιόργκενσεν.

Και κάπου εκεί ανέλαβε και πάλι ο Παυλίδης. Στις καθυστερήσεις του πρώτου μέρους, ο διεθνής Έλληνας επιθετικός ανέλαβε την εκτέλεση πέναλτι και δεν λάθεψε, γράφοντας το 3-1 και δίνοντας ξανά «αέρα» δύο τερμάτων στην Μπενφίκα πριν οι δύο ομάδες οδηγηθούν στα αποδυτήρια.

Ο 27χρονος φορ βρίσκεται σε εντυπωσιακή κατάσταση στο ξεκίνημα της σεζόν, καθώς έχει σημειώσει 10 γκολ σε έξι παιχνίδια σε όλες τις διοργανώσεις!
