HFF: Greek National Team to be based at “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium for World Cup qualifiers

The HFF announced the decisions of the Executive Committee through which it was announced that the National Team’s home ground will be “G. Karaiskakis”, as well as the hiring of Giannis Samaras.

The HFF made public the decisions of the Executive Committee after today’s meeting. Through these, it was announced that the home ground of our National Team for the World Cup qualifiers will be “G. Karaiskakis”, while the hiring of Giannis Samaras as head of the “Regeneration” program, as well as the training methodology for the U-14, U-15 and U-16 teams, was also formalized.

The announcement in detail:

“During today’s meeting, the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation made, among other things, the following decisions.

To designate the “G. Karaiskakis" as the venue for the National Team's matches for the 2026 World Cup qualifying phase.

A contract should be concluded with Mr. Giannis Samaras as the person in charge of the "Regeneration" program, as well as the person in charge of the training methodology of the National Teams U-14, U-15, U-16".

Η ΕΠΟ ανακοίνωσε τις αποφάσεις της Εκτελεστικής Επιτροπής μέσω των οποίων έγινε γνωστό πως έδρα της Εθνικής θα είναι το «Γ. Καραϊσκάκης», αλλά και η πρόσληψη του Γιάννη Σαμαρά.

Η ΕΠΟ έδωσε στην δημοσιότητα τις αποφάσεις της Εκτελεστικής Επιτροπής μετά την σημερινή συνεδρίαση. Μέσω αυτών έγινε γνωστό πως η έδρα της Εθνικής μας ομάδας για τα προκριματικά του Μουντιάλ θα είναι το «Γ. Καραϊσκάκης» ενώ επισημοποιήθηκε και η πρόσληψη του Γιάννη Σαμαρά ως υπευθύνου του προγράμματος «Αναγέννηση», αλλά και της μεθοδολογίας προπόνησης των Κ-14, Κ-15 και Κ-16.

Αναλυτικά η ανακοίνωση:

«Κατά τη σημερινή της συνεδρίαση η Εκτελεστική Επιτροπή της Ελληνικής Ποδοσφαιρικής Ομοσπονδίας έλαβε, μεταξύ άλλων, τις εξής αποφάσεις.

Να οριστεί το γήπεδο «Γ. Καραϊσκάκης» ως έδρα των αγώνων της Εθνικής Ομάδας για την προκριματική φάση του Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου 2026.

Να συναφθεί σύμβαση με τον κ. Γιάννη Σαμαρά ως υπεύθυνου του προγράμματος «Αναγέννηση», καθώς και υπεύθυνου μεθοδολογίας προπόνησης των Εθνικών Ομάδων Κ-14, Κ-15, Κ-16».
