With a well-timed penalty (via VAR) by Conte (101'), Volos won 1-0 against Panaitolikos in Agrinio and ended the home team's unbeaten streak of six games - With 10 players, the "canaries" were playing from the 26th minute (due to Stagić's delayed dismissal) and while they had a goal with Louis (66') in the game that opened the curtain of the 9th matchday in the Super League.

The best moment in the first 45 minutes was recorded in the 14th minute by the home team.

After a cross - shot by Mavrias and while the ball was going towards the net, Mygas took it out on the line and saved the guests from violating their goal.

Stajic's dismissal drawn

In the 26th, Panaitolikos was left with ten players on the pitch due to Nikola Stagić's suspension.

The Serbian defender received two yellow cards within six minutes (20' - 26') with the second card that cost him the expulsion - by referee Cecila - being judged "pulled" for a foul on Mendieta in the midfield area.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Panaitolikos stepped on the grass better, but without creating the classic opportunities for goals in front of the home of Thessaly, who leveled the match towards the end of the first half and tried to...hit mainly through counter-attacks.

The game played at the same tempo in the first minutes of the second 45 minutes. The home team was energizing their movements without threatening the opposition goal.

The coach of Volos, Savvas Poursaitidis, wanting to make his team more aggressive, put Altman instead of Sudgren in the 52nd minute.

Thessalians found themselves face to face with the goal in the 64th minute. Mendieta's weighted deep ball put Altman in a shooting position with the Israeli striker opposite the Panaitolikos keeper sending the ball desperately wide.

The hosts "answered" the great missed opportunity of Volos in the 66th minute. Miguel Luis with a direct shot from 40 meters sent the ball to the crossbar of the guests.

Another good moment for the Agrinio team in the 76th minute with a straight shot by Bouzoukis that went just over the crossbar.

In the 83' it was Volos' turn to threaten with Conte's header from a shooting position that went wide, while in the 85' Altman's diagonal shot from outside the area ended up just outside the right upright.

Penalty (VAR) and Conte's goal (0-1)

In the 99th minute, Volos won a penalty through the VAR for marking Pantelakis on Mendieta and while initially the referee in the first year did not show the white bull. Conte took over the execution in the 101', found the net and gave the victory (0-1) to Volos.

Panaitolikos fought it out in a match that was played for a long time with 10 players but failed to continue the unbeaten streak (4 wins – 2 draws) that...had been running for six matches.

Volos came away with the "three points" from Agrinio in a match that was in danger, but in the end it showed - competing with one player more - that it was more thirsty for the victory.

The referee Constantinos Tsetsilas (Grevenon), who left the hosts with terrible complaints, showed a yellow card to Stagic, Bouzouki, Medieta, Lomonaco, Koszta,, Correa, Glavcic, Luis, Bakaki, Sieli.

Με εύστοχο πέναλτι (μέσω VAR) του Κόντε (101΄) ο Βόλος επικράτησε 1-0 του Παναιτωλικoύ στο Αγρίνιο κι έβαλε τέλος στο αήττητο σερί των έξι αγωνιστικών που έτρεχαν οι γηπεδούχοι – Με 10 παίκτες έπαιζαν τα «καναρίνια» απ΄το 26΄ (λόγω τραβηγμένης αποβολής του Στάγιτς) κι ενώ είχαν δοκάρι με τον Λούις (66΄) στο παιχνίδι που άνοιξε την αυλαία της 9ης αγωνιστικής στη Super League.

Η καλύτερη στιγμή στο πρώτο 45λεπτο καταγράφηκε στο 14΄από πλευράς γηπεδούχων.

Έπειτα από σέντρα – σουτ του Μαυρία κι ενώ η μπάλα πήγαινε προς τα δίχτυα, ο Μύγας την έβγαλε πάνω στη γραμμή κι έσωσε τους φιλοξενούμενους από την παραβίαση της εστίας τους.

Τραβηγμένη αποβολή του Στάγιτς

Στο 26΄o Παναιτωλικός έμεινε με δέκα παίκτες στο αγωνιστικό χώρο λόγω αποβολής του Νίκολα Στάγιτς.

Ο Σέρβος αμυντικός δέχτηκε δύο κίτρινες κάρτες μέσα σε έξι λεπτά (20΄- 26΄) με τη δεύτερη κάρτα που του κόστισε την αποβολή - δια χειρός του ρέφερι Τσέτσιλα - να κρίνεται «τραβηγμένη» για φάουλ στον Μεντιέτα στο χώρο της μεσαίας γραμμής.

Παρά το αριθμητικό μειονέκτημα ο Παναιτωλικός πατούσε καλύτερα στο χορτάρι, χωρίς ωστόσο να δημιουργήσει τις κλασικές ευκαιρίες για γκολ μπροστά από την εστία των Θεσσαλών οι οποίοι ισορρόπησαν το ματς προς το φινάλε του α΄ημιχρόνου και επιχείρησαν να...χτυπήσουν κυρίως μέσω των αντεπιθέσεων. 

Στο ίδιο τέμπο κυλούσε το παιχνίδι στα πρώτα λεπτά του δευτέρου 45λεπτου. Οι γηπεδούχοι έβγαζαν ενέργεια στις κινήσεις τους χωρίς ωστόσο να απειλούν την αντίπαλη εστία.

Ο τεχνικός του Βόλου, Σάββας Πουρσαϊτίδης θέλοντας να κάνει πιο επιθετική την ομάδα του έβαλε τον Άλτμαν αντί του Σούντγκρεν στο 52΄.

Απίστευτη ευκαιρία ο Άλτμαν

Οι Θεσσαλοί βρέθηκαν φάτσα με το γκολ στο 64΄. Ο Μεντιέτα με ζυγισμένη βαθιά μπαλιά έβγαλε τον Άλτμαν σε θέση βολής με τον Ισραηλινό επιθετικό απέναντι από τον τερματοφύλακα του Παναιτωλικού να στέλνει την μπάλα απελπιστικά άουτ.

Δοκάρι ο Παναιτωλικός

Οι γηπεδούχοι «απάντησαν» στη μεγάλη χαμένη ευκαιρία του Βόλου στο 66΄. Ο Μιγκέλ Λουίς με ευθύβολο σουτ από τα 40 μέτρα έστειλε την μπάλα στο οριζόντιο δοκάρι των φιλοξενούμενων.

Νέα καλή στιγμή για την ομάδα του Αγρινίου στο 76΄με ευθύβολο σουτ του Μπουζούκη που έφυγε λίγο πάνω από το οριζόντιο δοκάρι. 

Στο 83΄ήταν η σειρά του Βόλου να απειλήσει με κεφαλιά του Κόντε από θέση βολής που έφυγε άουτ, ενώ στο 85΄διαγώνιο σουτ του Άλτμαν έξω από την περιοχή κατέληξε λίγο έξω από το δεξί κάθετο δοκάρι. 

Πέναλτι (VAR) και γκολ ο Κόντε (0-1)

Στο 99΄ο Βόλος κέρδισε πέναλτι μέσω του VAR για μαρκάρισμα του Παντελάκη στον Μεντιέτα κι ενώ αρχικά ο ρέφερι σε πρώτο χρόνο δεν έδειξε την άσπρη βούλα. Ο Κόντε ανέλαβε την εκτέλεση στο 101΄,  βρήκε δίχτυα κι έδωσε τη νίκη (0-1) στο Βόλο.

Ο Παναιτωλικός το πάλεψε σε ένα ματς που έπαιξε για μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα με 10 παίκτες δεν κατάφερε όμως να συνεχίσει το αήττητο σερί (4 νίκες – 2 ισοπαλίες) που…έτρεχε για έξι αγωνιστικές.

Ο Βόλος έφυγε με το «τρίποντο» απ΄το Αγρίνιο σε ένα ματς που κινδύνεψε, ωστόσο στο τέλος έδειξε – αγωνιζόμενος με παίκτη παραπάνω – πως…διψούσε περισσότερο για τη νίκη.

Ο διαιτητής Κωνσταντίνος Τσέτσιλας (Γρεβενών) που άφησε με τρομερά παράπονα τους γηπεδούχους, έδειξε κίτρινη κάρτα στους Στάγιτς, Μπουζούκη, Μεντιέτα, Λομόνακο, Κόσζτα,, Κορέα, Γκλάβτσιτς, Λουίς, Μπακάκη, Σιέλη.
