Red Star: The request to postponed the match with Partizan was not accepted, what Obradovic said

The Aba Liga did not accept the request of the Red Star to postpone the match with Partizan, with Saša Obradovic disappointed in his statements.

Red Star had made a request to the Aba Liga to postpone the match against Partizan, due to the competition obligations it has for the EuroLeague play-ins.

However, the organizing authority rejected the request of the "red and whites" and thus the match will be held as usual.

The reason for the request from the Red Star was related to the "life or death" match they have with Barcelona on Tuesday, April 21 for the EuroLeague play-ins and asked for the derby with their... eternal rival to be postponed, in order to prepare as best as possible for the crucial match.

In his statements, Saša Obradović was clearly disappointed and emphasized that it would be a benefit for the ABA League if Red Star qualified for the play-offs.

In detail, what he said:

"An extremely difficult mini-schedule awaits us, with two matches in just three days. I sincerely regret that the ABA League did not show understanding in our request to postpone this match, because I believe that our qualification for the Euroleague playoffs is a benefit and a good image for the ABA League itself. Now that things are as they are, we turn to this obligation and we want to play a good match.”

Η Aba liga δεν έκανε δεκτό το αίτημα του Ερυθρού για την αναβολή της αναμέτρησης με την Παρτίζαν με τον Σάσα Ομπράντοβιτς να είναι απογοητευμένος στις δηλώσεις του.

Ο Ερυθρός Αστέρας είχε κάνει αίτημα στην Aba Liga, προκειμένου να αναβληθεί η αναμέτρηση κόντρα στην Παρτίζαν, λόγω των αγωνιστικών υποχρεώσεων που έχει για τα play-in της EuroLeague.

Ωστόσο, η διοργανώτρια αρχή απέρριψε το αίτημα των «ερυθρολεύκων» και έτσι η αναμέτρηση θα διεξαχθεί κανονικά.

Ο λόγος του αιτήματος από πλευράς Ερυθρού, είχε να κάνει σχετικά με την αναμέτρηση «ζωής ή θανάτου» που έχει με την Μπαρτσελόνα την Τρίτη 21 Απριλίου για τα play-in της EuroLeague και ζήτησε να αναβληθεί το ντέρμπι με τον... αιώνιο αντίπαλό του, προκειμένου να προετοιμαστεί όσο το δυνατόν καλύτερα για το κρίσιμο ματς.

Στις δηλώσεις του ο Σάσα Ομπράντοβιτς ήταν φανερά απογοητευμένος και τόνισε ότι θα ήταν όφελος της Aba liga η πρόκριση του Ερυθρού Αστέρα στα play-offs.

Αναλυτικά όσα είπε:

«Ένα εξαιρετικά δύσκολο μίνι-πρόγραμμα μας περιμένει, με δύο αγώνες μέσα σε μόλις τρεις ημέρες. Ειλικρινά λυπάμαι που η ABA League δεν έδειξε κατανόηση στο αίτημά μας για αναβολή αυτού του αγώνα, γιατί πιστεύω ότι η πρόκρισή μας στα playoffs της Euroleague αποτελεί όφελος και καλή εικόνα και για την ίδια την ABA League. Τώρα που τα πράγματα είναι όπως είναι, στρεφόμαστε σε αυτή την υποχρέωση και θέλουμε να παίξουμε έναν καλό αγώνα».
