Olympiacos emphatically defeated Mykonos Betsson 109-83 for the 24th matchday of the Stoiximan GBL. Career match against the red and whites for the formidable Homer Netzipoglou who scored 24 points (5/6 two-pointers, 5/6 three-pointers). Nilikina was also great with 19 and 5/7 three-pointers.

Olympiacos emphatically defeated Mykonos Betsson 109-83 for the 24th matchday of the Stoiximan GBL with Giorgos Bartzokas reaching 200 wins with the Piraeus team in the competition.

After the first 7-8 lazy minutes, the match was a feast for the eyes with impressive phases, fast pace and a “rain” of three-pointers.

Charismatic offensively, Vangelis Ziagos' team tried to follow the tempo that the red and whites set in the game from the second quarter onwards, but it was not possible to stay close without a mind on defense.

The MVP

A great night from Homer Netzipoglou who entered the game at a point when the red and whites were struggling to find a rhythm and with 2/2 three-pointers he lit the spark. He continued in the second period, reaching 17 points at halftime and completed the best performance of his Olympiacos career with 27 points (5/6 two-pointers, 5/6 three-pointers, 2/3 shots), 3 rebounds and 4 assists.

An excellent performance was also from Frank Nilikina who scored 19 points with 5/7 three-pointers, while Tyson Ward reached a double-double with 9 points and 10 assists.

The statistics that stood out

The red and whites started the game with 0/4 three-pointers, but from the two accurate Netzipoglous at the end of the first period and then scored 9 of the 13 they attempted. In the same period, the visitors were 8/14 behind from 6.75m, with the match at times resembling a rain of three-pointers.

Piraeus finished the match with 19/35, while the visitors had 15/33 in a match with 34 successful three-pointers in total.

The match

The red and whites entered the match quite sluggishly. They had a hard time scoring at the beginning of the match, while they also “wasted” several attempts from the free throw line. Thus, the visitors, armed with the three-pointer, took the lead by seven points (11-18) shortly before the end of the first period.

At that point, however, Homer Netzipoglou, who had just entered the court, scored two consecutive three-pointers from the corner, making it 17-20, which was the score of the first quarter.

The home team started the second period as they ended the first. Morris hit a three-pointer and Papanikolaou followed with two three-pointers that “woke up” SEF for good and gave Olympiacos the lead (26-25).

The match took on a very nice rhythm until the break, the two teams continued to hit from behind 6.75 with the partial score of the second quarter being 37-27 and Netzipoglou reaching 17 points.

In the third quarter, Frank Nilikina took the baton. The Frenchman caught fire from behind 6.75 and reached 19 points with 5/7 three-pointers. In a match with a beautiful rhythm and wonderful phases on both sides of the court, Mykonos Betsson, no matter how charismatic offensively it is, was unable to follow and was unfortunately left far behind (85-59).

The last period was certainly procedural in nature, but not for everyone. Homer Netzipoglou, who returned to the court, continued his career night. He reached 27 points with 5/6 two-pointers, 5/6 three-pointers, 3 rebounds and 4 assists, completing a great performance.

Ο Ολυμπιακός επικράτησε εμφατικά της Μυκόνου Betsson με 109-83 για την 24η αγωνιστική της Stoiximan GBL. Ματς καριέρας με τα ερυθρόλευκα για τον τρομερό Όμηρο Νετζήπογλου που πέτυχε 24 πόντους (5/6 δίποντα, 5/6 τρίποντα). Σπουδαίος και ο Νιλικίνα με 19 και 5/7 τρίποντα.

Ο Ολυμπιακός επικράτησε εμφατικά με 109-83 της Μυκόνου Betsson για την 24η αγωνιστική της Stoiximan GBL με τον Γιώργο Μπαρτζώκα να φτάνει τις 200 νίκες με τους Πειραιώτες στη διοργάνωση.

Μετά τα πρώτα 7-8 νωχελικά λεπτά η αναμέτρηση ήταν χάρμα οφθαλμών με εντυπωσιακές φάσεις, γρήγορο ρυθμό και “βροχή” τριπόντων.

Χαρισματική επιθετικά η ομάδα του Βαγγέλη Ζιάγκου, προσπάθησε να ακολουθήσει το τέμπο που έδωσαν οι ερυθρόλευκοι στο παιχνίδι από το δεύτερο δεκάλεπτο και μετά, όμως δεν ήταν εφικτό να μείνει κοντά χωρίς το μυαλό στην άμυνα.

Ο MVP

Σπουδαία βραδιά από τον Όμηρο Νετζήπογλου που μπήκε στο παιχνίδι σε ένα σημείο που οι ερυθρόλευκοι δυσκολευόντουσαν να βρουν ρυθμό και με 2/2 τρίποντα άναψε τη σπίθα. Συνέχισε και στη δεύτερη περίοδο, φτάνοντας τους 17 πόντους στην ανάπαυλα και ολοκλήρωσε την καλύτερη εμφάνιση της καριέρας του στον Ολυμπιακό με 27 πόντους (5/6 δίποντα, 5/6 τρίποντα, 2/3 βολές), 3 ριμπάουντ και 4 ασίστ.

Εξαιρετική εμφάνιση και από τον Φρανκ Νιλικίνα που πέτυχε 19 πόντους με 5/7 τρίποντα, ενώ ο Τάισον Γουόρντ άγγιξε το double double με 9 πόντους και 10 ασίστ.

Τα στατιστικά που ξεχώρισαν

Οι ερυθρόλευκοι ξεκίνησαν το παιχνίδι με 0/4 τρίποντα, όμως από τα δύο εύστοχα του Νετζήπογλου στο τέλος της πρώτης περιόδου και μετά έβαλαν 9 από τα 13 που επιχείρησαν. Στο ίδιο διάστημα οι φιλοξενούμενοι είχαν 8/14 πίσω από τα 6,75μ με την αναμέτρηση κατά διαστήματα να μοιάζει με βροχή τριπόντων.

Με 19/35 ολοκλήρωσαν την αναμέτρηση οι Πειραιώτες, ενώ οι φιλοξενούμενοι είχαν 15/33 σε μία αναμέτρηση με 34 εύστοχα τρίποντα συνολικά.

Ο αγώνας

Οι ερυθρόλευκοι μπήκαν αρκετά νωχελικά στην αναμέτρηση. Δυσκολεύτηκαν αρκετά στην αρχή της αναμέτρησης να σκοράρουν, ενώ και από τη γραμμή των ελευθέρων βολών “σπατάλησαν” αρκετές προσπάθειες. Έτσι οι φιλοξενούμενοι με όπλο το τρίποντο προηγήθηκαν με επτά πόντους (11-18) λίγο πριν το τέλος της πρώτης περιόδου.

Στο σημείο εκείνο όμως, ο Όμηρος Νετζήπογλου που είχε μόλις περάσει στο παρκέ πέτυχε δύο συνεχόμενα τρίποντα από τη γωνία γράφοντας το 17-20 που ήταν και το σκορ του πρώτου δεκαλέπτου.

Οι γηπεδούχοι ξεκίνησαν τη δεύτερη περίοδο όπως τελείωσαν την πρώτη. Ο Μόρις ευστόχησε για τρεις και ακολούθησαν δύο τρίποντα του Παπανικολάου που “ξύπνησαν” το ΣΕΦ για τα καλά και έδωσαν στον Ολυμπιακό το προβάδισμα (26-25).

Η αναμέτρηση πήρε πολύ όμορφο ρυθμό μέχρι την ανάπαυλα, οι δύο ομάδες συνέχισαν να ευστοχούν πίσω από τα 6,75 με το επιμέρους σκορ του δεύτερου δεκαλέπτου να είναι 37-27 και τον Νετζήπογλου να φτάνει τους 17 πόντους.

Στο τρίτο δεκάλεπτο την μπαγκέτα έλαβε ο Φρανκ Νιλικίνα. Ο Γάλλος πήρε “φωτιά” πίσω από τα 6,75 και έφτασε τους 19 πόντους με 5/7 τρίποντα. Σε μία αναμέτρηση με όμορφο ρυθμό και υπέροχες φάσεις και στις δύο πλευρές του παρκέ, η Μύκονος Betsson όσο χαρισματική επιθετικά και αν είναι, δεν μπόρεσε να ακολουθήσει και έμεινε μοιραία αρκετά πίσω (85-59).

Ασφαλώς η τελευταία περίοδος είχε διαδικαστικό χαρακτήρα, όχι όμως για όλους. Ο Όμηρος Νετζήπογλου που επέστρεψε στο παρκέ συνέχισε τη βραδιά καριέρας του. Έφτασε στους 27 πόντους με 5/6 δίποντα, 5/6 τρίποντα, 3 ριμπάουντ και 4 ασίστ ολοκληρώνοντας μία σπουδαία εμφάνιση.
