The match

Panathinaikos started with Shorts, Nunn, Osman, Hayes-Davis and Lesor, but found themselves losing 5-1 (3′), after having 0/5 shots in these first minutes of the match. Hapoel found itself in double-score (12-6) at 5’14”, but Sloukas' entry into the match changed the game. The green captain scored 5 points and gave 3 assists for the green overtaking (14-15, 7’48”), while with his own basket it was 20-21 at 10′.

In the 11th minute, Lesor was charged with his third foul. Something similar happened with Nunn in the 13th minute. Somehow, Panathinaikos adopted the formation with Sloukas, Osman, Hayes-Davis, Juancho and Mitoglou to go to the locker room at +4 (44-48, 20′), with the Spanish forward having 9 points in the second period.

Shorts scored two baskets and made a good defense on Michic, before Malcolm hit a buzzer-beater behind the center for 66-75 (30′).

Blakeney, Odiase and Malcolm brought Hapoel to -3 (77-80) at 33’30”. Shortly after 35 minutes, the Israelis tied the game (84-84) after a three-pointer by Blakeney. Nunn and Oturu tied the game at 86-86 at 36:30. Blakeney and Osman each made a pair of shots to tie the game at 88-88 at 38. After consecutive missed attempts on both sides, Jones made 2/2 shots for 90-88 with 26.4 minutes left. Nunn and Juancho failed to score inside the basket. Jones won another foul and made it 92-88.
