Dubai struggled at the end but managed to win against Baskonia (100-94) and remain "alive" in the battle for a place in the top ten of the standings.

Dubai (16-14) hosted Baskonia (9-22) in Sarajevo and got the victory that keeps them alive in the battle for the top ten. Yuri Golemac's team controlled the pace of the game from the beginning, Baskonia made a counterattack at the end, reducing the lead to 4 (98-94) but failed to make a complete turnaround and Dubai prevailed with 100-94

The protagonists of the match for the Arabs were Dwayne Bacon (23pts.) and Mfiodu Kamengele (17pts. 6rp.) while for Baskonia Mamadi Diakite (17pts. 12rp.) and Eugene Omoruyi (18pts.) stood out.

For Dubai, the postponed match against Partizan in Belgrade (17/3, 21:00) follows, while the next matchday will face Bayern in Munich (19/3, 21:30). On the other hand, Baskonia will travel to Greece to face Olympiacos (19/3, 21:15) at SEF.

With an aggressive recital before halftime, Dubai

Dubai entered the court with its foot on the gas and took a 13-4 lead in the 3rd minute after a three-pointer by Musa. The Bosnian was in excellent shape (7 points) and with a pair of shots he increased the difference for the first time above 10 (15-4). The Basques reacted and with a three-pointer by Nowell they reduced to 21-15 in the 7th minute, showing signs of "life" but Prepelic with a three-pointer sent the score back to +10 (29-19) before the end of the quarter.

At the start of the second quarter, Baskonia reduced the deficit to 29-23, but Dubai suddenly picked up the pace and "exploded" the gap to +13 (40-27) with an 11-4 run and Bacon leading the way with 8 points. Baskonia found a new answer with a 7-0 run and reduced it again to -6 (40-34), with Jurica Golemac's team, however, increasing the gap again to +18 (57-39) with the awesome Campengele who reached 10 points in the 19th minute and took the lead. Baskonia closed the half with a three-pointer by Nowell for 59-45.

Dubai kept the lead, made shots and took the win

At the start of the second half, Dubai continued the same pace and held the lead firmly in double digits. Baskonia tried to come back and reduced the lead to -9 (70-61), showing that they would not give up the match so easily halfway through the third quarter. However, the UAE team did not let the visitors get any closer and with a 7-0 run escaped to +16 (77-61) with a basket by Abramovic. Shortly before the end of the third quarter, Bacon "danced" to score a basket and a foul and raised the score to +17 (80-63).

The visitors made their last attempt to return to the game and reduced it to 85-73 at the start of the fourth quarter with Diaquite and Omoruyi having taken the Basques by the "hand". However, the hosts, with a three-pointer by Petrusev, "clipped the wings" of Baskonia and escaped again to +16 (89-73), 6' before the end of the game. Campengele was sent off with a 5th foul, Baskonia made the counterattack and reduced it to 8 (97-92), 1' before the end, but there was no time for anything more.

Η Ντουμπάι αγχώθηκε στο τέλος αλλά πήρε την νίκη απέναντι στην Μπασκόνια (100-94) και παρέμεινε «ζωντανή» στην μάχη για μια θέση στην δεκάδα της βαθμολογίας.

Η Ντουμπάι (16-14) υποδέχθηκε την Μπασκόνια (9-22) στο Σαράγεβο και πήρε την νίκη που την κρατά ακόμα ζωντανή στην μάχη για την δεκάδα. Η ομάδα του Γιούρι Γκόλεματς ήλεγξε τον ρυθμό του παιχνιδιού από την αρχή , η  Μπασκόνια έκανε μια αντεπίθεση στο τέλος μειώνοντας στους 4 (98-94) όμως δεν κατάφερε να κάνει την ολική ανατροπή και η Ντουμπάι επικράτησε με 100-94

Πρωταγωνιστές της αναμέτρησης για τους Άραβες ήταν οι Ντουέιν Μπέικον (23π.) και Μφιόντου Καμπενγκέλε (17π. 6ρ.) ενώ για την Μπασκόνια ξεχώρισαν οι Μαμάντι Ντιακιτέ (17π. 12ρ.) και Εουγκένε Ομορούγι (18π.).

Για την Ντουμπάι ακολουθεί η εξ΄ αναβολής αναμέτρηση απέναντι στην Παρτίζαν στο Βελιγράδι (17/3, 21:00) ενώ την επόμενη αγωνιστική θα αντιμετωπίσει την Μπάγερν στο Μόναχο (19/3, 21:30). Αντίθετα η Μπασκόνια θα ταξιδέψει στην Ελλάδα για να αντιμετωπίσει τον Ολυμπιακό (19/3, 21:15) στο ΣΕΦ.

Με επιθετικό ρεσιτάλ μπροστά στο ημίχρονο η Ντουμπάι

Η Ντουμπάι μπήκε με το πόδι πατημένο στο γκάζι στο παρκέ και προηγήθηκε με 13-4 στο 3΄ μετά από τρίποντο του Μούσα. Ο Βόσνιος ήταν σε εξαιρετική κατάσταση (7π.) και με ζευγάρι βολών ανέβασε για πρώτη φορά την διαφορά πάνω από τους 10 (15-4). Οι Βάσκοι αντέδρασαν και με τρίποντο του Νόουελ μείωσαν σε 21-15 στο 7', δείχνοντας σημάδια «ζωής» όμως ο Πρέπελιτς με τρίποντη απάντηση έστειλε ξανά το σκορ στο +10 (29-19) πριν το τέλος του δεκαλέπτου.

Στο ξεκίνημα του δευτέρου δεκαλέπτου η Μπασκόνια μείωσε σε 29-23 όμως η Ντουμπάι ανέβασε ξαφνικά την ταχύτητα και «εκτόξευσε» την διαφορά στο +13 (40-27) με ένα επιμέρους 11-4 και τον Μπέικον πρωταγωνιστή με 8 πόντους. Η Μπασκόνια βρήκε νέα απάντηση με σερί 7-0 και μείωσε εκ νέου στο -6 (40-34) με την ομάδα του Γιούριτσα Γκόλεματς ωστόσο να ανεβάζει ξανά την διαφορά στο +18 (57-39) με τον φοβερό Καμπενγκέλε που έφτασε τους 10 πόντους στο 19΄ και πήρε προβάδισμα νίκης. Η Μπασκόνια έκλεισε το ημίχρονο με τρίποντο του Νόουελ για το 59-45.

Κράτησε την διαφορά, έβαζε τα σουτ και πήρε την νίκη η Ντουμπάι

Στο ξεκίνημα του δευτέρου μέρους η Ντουμπάι συνέχισε τον ίδιο ρυθμό και κρατούσε σταθερά το προβάδισμα σε διψήφια επίπεδα. Η Μπασκόνια προσπάθησε να επιστρέψει και έριξε την διαφορά στο -9 (70-61), δείχνοντας πως δεν θα παρατήσει τόσο εύκολα το ματς στα μισά του τρίτου δεκαλέπτου. Η ομάδα από τα ΗΑΕ όμως δεν άφησε τους φιλοξενούμενους να πλησιάσουν περισσότερο και με ένα σερί 7-0 ξέφυγε στο +16 (77-61) με καλάθι του Αβράμοβιτς. Λίγο πριν το φινάλε του τρίτου δεκαλέπτου, ο Μπέικον με «χορευτικό» πέτυχε καλάθι και φάουλ και ανέβασε το σκορ στο +17 (80-63).

Οι φιλοξενούμενοι έκαναν την τελευταία τους προσπάθεια επιστροφής τους στο παιχνίδι και μείωσαν σε 85-73 στο ξεκίνημα του τέταρτου δεκαλέπτου με τους Ντιακιτέ και Ομορούγι να έχουν πάρει από το «χέρι» τους Βάσκους. Οι γηπεδούχοι όμως με τρίποντο του Πετρούσεφ «έκοψαν τα φτερά» της Μπασκόνια και ξέφυγαν εκ νέου στο +16 (89-73), 6' πριν από το τέλος του παιχνιδιού.  Ο Καμπενγκέλε αποβλήθηκε με 5ο φάουλ, η Μπασκόνια έκανε την αντεπίθεση και μείωσε στους 8 (97-92), 1' πριν από το τέλος όμως ο χρόνος για κάτι περισσότερο δεν υπήρχε.
