Οι Παριζιάνοι αντέδρασαν και μείωσαν μόλις τρία λεπτά αργότερα με τον Ντεμπελέ, επιχειρώντας την ανατροπή. Ωστόσο, η πίεσή τους δεν απέδωσε και ο Εμπολό «σφράγισε» τη νίκη των γηπεδούχων διαμορφώνοντας το τελικό σκορ στο 81′. Κατά αυτόν τον τρόπο, οι Πρωταθλητές Ευρώπης έμειναν στους 51 πόντους και μπορούν να βρεθούν στο -1 από τη Λανς, αν εκείνη νικήσει την Παρί FC το βράδυ του Σαββάτου (14/2, 22:05).

Από την άλλη, η Ρεν ανέβηκε στην 5η θέση με 34 πόντους και συνεχίζει να ελπίζει για ένα «καλό» ευρωπαϊκό εισιτήριο.
