In a game for strong nerves, Dubai BC, despite significant absences, defeated Bayern with a basket by Wright in the end, for the 15th round of the EuroLeague and took the victory with 89-88.
bDubai BC managed to win the thriller at home against Bayern for the 15th round of the EuroLeague with 89-88.
Despite the absences of Musa, Bacon and Abramovich, the home team managed to make the upset, prevailing in a dramatic way thanks to Wright's buzzer beater.
The match had constant changes in the score, intensity and great individual moments, with both teams fighting until the last second.
The match
Bayern started strongly on both sides of the pitch, with a good defensive presence, managing to score on every attack within the first three minutes.
Then, Dubai BC reacted and made an 8-0 run in the 4th minute, temporarily taking a 2-point lead.
However, Bayern responded immediately, taking advantage of the offensive rebounds and with a 9-0 run from the moment Obst stepped on the court, bringing his team ahead by 4 (12-17) in the first fifth minute of the match, who scored 6 points in just 1’14” of participation.
At the same time, Dubai BC faced serious problems in defensive rebounds, since Bayern had already collected 4 offensive ones in the first 8 minutes.
Shortly before the end of the quarter, Abbas received a technical penalty for flopping and extending his left leg.
Nevertheless, Dubai BC managed to reduce the difference and the first quarter ended at 24-23, with a buzzer beater dunk by Bayern’s Gabriel.
In the second quarter, Dubai BC started strong with a 4-0 run, forcing Bayern coach Herbert to call a timeout to bring his players back.
Despite the home team's efforts to maintain the lead, Bayern found a rhythm and with a minute left in the half, scored five points in a row, leading by 6 (38-44), while Dubai BC finally managed to reduce the deficit to 4.
In the first half of the game, the team statistics showed Dubai BC 14/23 two-pointers, 1/9 three-pointers, 11/12 shots, 19 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 steals and 6 turnovers, while Bayern 9/18 two-pointers, 7/14 three-pointers, 7/9 shots, 16 rebounds, 13 assists, 3 steals and 7 fouls.
At the start of the third quarter, the first attempts of both teams were unsuccessful.
Da Silva, European champion with the German team, already had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals by the middle of the quarter, while Dubai BC reached 11 fouls, falling behind by -11, five minutes before the end of the period.
Bayern maintained control, limiting their opponents to poor choices that prevented them from scoring, leading into the fourth quarter, while Dinwiddie's two well-timed shots at the end of the quarter preserved the lead.
In addition, Dubai BC was severely lacking from the 3-meter line, shooting just 2/16 from three-pointers.
In the fourth quarter, Dubai BC started strongly, reducing the gap to one possession within the first five minutes, with Petrusev and Abbas scoring and winning shots.
Wright then brought the game to a one-point lead with a drive to the basket, while Kondic made a well-timed three-pointer to give Dubai BC a 1-point lead, turning the game around with 3:21 left.
Wright drew a foul for three shots, while Obst answered with a three-pointer to give Bayern a 2-point lead again.
A short while later, Dinwiddie drew shots from Abbas, who was ejected with a minute left, while McKinley Wright reduced the deficit to a point.
Then, Obst hit a two-pointer to force Dubai BC into a timeout with 50 seconds left, while Bayern was ahead by 3 points.
At 22” Obst made an airball and Petrushev scored a two-pointer, bringing the match back to a point.
At 2”,8”’ before the end, possession was for Dubai BC with Anderson on the rebound, and the pass to Wright, who with a buzzer beater basket gave the victory to Dubai BC.
For Bayern, Obst led the attack with 21 points (2/3 two-pointers, 5/11 three-pointers, 2/2 shots) and 3 rebounds, followed by Dinwiddie with 14 points and 6 assists, Voigtman with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists and Da Silva with 10 points and 5 rebounds.
For Dubai, in addition to the excellent performance and the winning buzzer beater of Wright, who had 22 points (6/8 two-pointers, 1/3 three-pointers and 7/7 shots) and 7 assists, the contribution of Abbas with 15 points and 7 rebounds, Anderson and Kondic with 11 points both, and Petrusev with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists was also great.

Ο αγώνας είχε συνεχείς εναλλαγές στο σκορ, ένταση και μεγάλες ατομικές στιγμές, με τις δύο ομάδες να παλεύουν μέχρι το τελευταίο δευτερόλεπτο.
Ο αγώνας
Η Μπάγερν ξεκίνησε δυναμικά και στις δύο πλευρές του γηπέδου, με καλή αμυντική παρουσία, καταφέρνοντας να σκοράρει σε κάθε επίθεση μέσα στα πρώτα τρία λεπτά.
Στη συνέχεια, η Dubai BC αντέδρασε και έκανε ένα 8-0 στο 4ο λεπτό, προσπερνώντας προσωρινά με 2 πόντους.
Ωστόσο, η Μπάγερν απάντησε άμεσα, εκμεταλλευόμενη τα επιθετικά ριμπάουντ και με ένα σερί 9-0 από τη στιγμή που πάτησε παρκέ ο Ομπστ, φέρνοντας την ομάδα της μπροστά με 4 (12-17) στο πρώτο πέμπτο λεπτό του αγώνα, ο οποίος έβαλε 6 πόντους σε μόλις 1’14” συμμετοχής.
Παράλληλα, η Dubai BC αντιμετώπισε σοβαρά προβλήματα στα αμυντικά ριμπάουντ, αφού η Μπάγερν είχε ήδη συγκεντρώσει 4 επιθετικά στα πρώτα 8 λεπτά.

Στο πρώτο μέρος του παιχνιδιού τα ομαδικά στατιστικά έδειχναν για τη Dubai BC 14/23 δίποντα, 1/9 τρίποντα, 11/12 βολές, 19 ριμπάουντ, 6 ασίστ, 5 κλεψίματα και 6 λάθη, ενώ για τη Μπάγερν 9/18 δίποντα, 7/14 τρίποντα, 7/9 βολές, 16 ριμπάουντ, 13 ασίστ, 3 κλεψίματα και 7 λάθη.
Στην αρχή του τρίτου δεκαλέπτου, οι πρώτες προσπάθειες και των δύο ομάδων ήταν άστοχες.
Ο Ντα Σίλβα, πρωταθλητής Ευρώπης με την ομάδα της Γερμανίας, είχε ήδη 8 πόντους, 5 ριμπάουντ, 1 ασίστ και 2 κλεψίματα μέχρι τα μέσα του δεκαλέπτου, ενώ η Dubai BC έφτασε τα 11 λάθη, μένοντας πίσω με -11, πέντε λεπτά πριν τη λήξη της περιόδου.
Η Μπάγερν διατήρησε τον έλεγχο, περιορίζοντας την αντίπαλο σε λάθος επιλογές που δεν της επέτρεπαν να σκοράρει, με αποτέλεσμα να μπει στο τέταρτο δεκάλεπτο με προβάδισμα, ενώ οι δύο εύστοχες βολές του Ντίνγουιντι στο τέλος του δεκαλέπτου διατήρησαν τη διαφορά.

Ο Ράιτ κέρδισε φάουλ για τρεις βολές, ενώ ο Ομπστ απάντησε με τρίποντο ανάσας για να δώσει ξανά προβάδισμα στη Μπάγερν με 2 πόντους.
Λίγο αργότερα, ο Ντίνγουιντι κέρδισε βολές από τον Αμπάς, ο οποίος αποβλήθηκε με ένα λεπτό να απομένει, ενώ ο Μακίνλεϊ Ράιτ μείωσε στον πόντο.
Στη συνέχεια, ο Ομπστ πέτυχε δίποντο και ανάγκασε την Dubai BC σε τάιμ άουτ με 50” να απομένουν, ενώ η Μπάγερν ήταν μπροστά με 3 πόντους.
Στα 22” ο Ομπστ έκανε airball και ο Πετρούσεφ πέτυχε δίποντο, φέρνωντας το ματς και πάλι στον πόντο.
Στα 2”,8”’ πριν τη λήξη, η κατοχή ήταν για την Dubai BC με τον Άντερσον στην επαναφορά , και την πάσα στον Ράιτ, ο οποίος με buzzer beater καλάθι χάρισε τη νίκη στην Dubai BC.
Για τη Μπάγερν, οδηγός της στην επίθεση ήταν ο Όμπστ με 21 πόντους (2/3 δίποντα, 5/11 τρίποντα, 2/2 βολές) και 3 ριμπάουντ, και ακολούθησαν οι Ντίνγουιντι με 14 πόντους και 6 ασίστ, Βόιτγκμαν με 15 πόντους, 6 ριμπάουντ και 3 ασίστ και Ντα Σίλβα με 10 πόντους και 5 ριμπάουντ.
Για τη Ντουμπάι, πέρα από την εξαιρετική εμφάνιση και το νικητήριο buzzer beater του Ράιτ, ο οποίος είχε 22 πόντους (6/8 δίποντα, 1/3 τρίποντα και 7/7 βολές) και 7 ασίστ, μεγάλη ήταν και η συμβολή των Αμπάς με 15 πόντους και 7 ριμπάουντ, Άντερσον και Κόντιτς με 11 πόντοι και οι δύο, και του Πετρούσεφ με 12 πόντους, 3 ριμπάουντ και 3 ασίστ.
