Ataman: "Farid and Yurtseven played lousy"

Ergin Ataman referred to Yurtseven and Farid in his statements at the press conference, after Panathinaikos' defeat by Valencia (94-84).

Panathinaikos did not make it and was defeated by Valencia 94-84 at the "Telekom Center Athens" for the 14th round of the EuroLeague with Ergin Ataman showing his dissatisfaction with the performance of his team's centers.

He also said that Valencia deserved the victory, emphasizing that they played exceptionally.

In detail, what Ataman said:

"After the good first half when we played our basketball, we lost the game at the beginning of the third period. In two minutes they had a 9-0 run, easy baskets, we made mistakes and then we lost control of the game. Throughout the second half we made bad decisions, missed all our shots, made 2/15 three-pointers, missed shots under the rack. They gained confidence, Thompson played great in 1v1. We didn't stop 1v1. Tonight we didn't deserve to win, Valencia played great".

On how big Farid's absence was with the three quick fouls and how much it affected the match: "Both centers played horribly. Both Farid and Yurtseven".

Ο Έργκιν Άταμαν αναφέρθηκε στον Γιούρτσεβεν και στον Φαρίντ στις δηλώσεις του στη συνέντευξη τύπου, έπειτα από την ήττα του Παναθηναϊκού από τη Βαλένθια (94-84).

Ο Παναθηναϊκός δεν τα κατάφερε και ηττήθηκε από τη Βαλένθια με 94-84 στο «Telekom Center Athens» για την 14η αγωνιστική της EuroLeague με τον Έργκιν Άταμαν να δείχνει τη δυσαρέσκειά του στην απόδοση των σέντερ της ομάδας του.

Σε δύο λεπτά είχαν 9-0 σερί, εύκολα καλάθια, κάναμε λάθη και μετά χάσαμε τον έλεγχο του αγώνα. Σε όλο το δεύτερο ημίχρονο κάναμε λάθος αποφάσεις, χάσαμε όλα τα σουτ, βάλαμε 2/15 τρίποντα, χάσαμε σουτ κάτω από την ρακέτα. Πήραν αυτοπεποίθηση, ο Τόμπσον έπαιξε εξαιρετικά στο 1v1. Δεν σταματήσαμε το 1v1. Απόψε δεν αξίζαμε να κερδίσουμε, η Βαλένθια έπαιξε εξαιρετικά».
