AEK - OFI 2-1

OFI took the lead at OPAP Arena and made it difficult for AEK, but Enosi "turned around" another match (2-1) and climbed to the top of the standings, leaving Olympiacos (-1) and PAOK (-2) behind.

For another -cold- night, the "OPAP Arena" was filled to the limit of sold out, but the Cretans showed bold dispositions from the start, with Christos Kontis using the... Craiova formula (ed. trio in defense), while Marko Nikolic was deprived of the suspended Pineda and had to see how the "yellow and black" would operate. Just in the 2nd minute, Nous went behind the defense, made the turn from the right despite Vida's pressure, the ball passed under Strakosha's feet and Salcedo scored 0-1 into an empty net! Two minutes later, the Italian forward went on the "counterattack", but he shot wide.

In the 10th minute, Jovic scored into an undefended goal after Marin's attempt, but the Romanian midfielder's collision with Lilo left the young goalkeeper on the ground with a headache. Thus, VAR canceled the goal as an offensive foul, bringing irritation to the AEK world. The visitors also threatened with Nous in the 15th and 18th minutes, while in the 21st minute Sengelia, who came on as a substitute for the injured Funda, hit the posts of Strakosha with a shot, in a great moment. The pace was frantic until the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Lilo made an impressive stop on Kaloskamis and in the 44th minute Joao Mario's shot ended up for a corner. Just before the break, Penrice won a penalty from Borja Gonzalez, but Jovic's execution was poor, towards the "G" again and ended up out, putting a "stop" on his run from the "white dot".

Returning from the locker room, Marko Nikolic brought Mandalos and Koita into the game, Grujic and Kaloskamis retired and AEK raised its intensity dramatically. Two minutes after the cross in the second half, Mandalos "served" for Jovic who scored again, but the semi-automatic offside showed that he was exposed, maintaining 0-1. Redemption for the "Two-Headed" came in the 54th minute from Ljubisic, who took the "rebound" with his head after Lilo's unstable intervention on Koita's shot and the Austro-Croatian was crowned scorer for the third consecutive match, reaching four goals. It is worth noting that this goal was also checked by VAR, as the Cretans requested a foul at the start of the phase, but the 1-1 was a fact.

A gap without opportunities followed, but the Union was in the spotlight, having surrounded OFI. In the 64th minute, they reminded why static phases are one of their main assets, when Marin executed the corner kick, Vida and Jovic jumped together and the Serbian striker headed the turnaround for 2-1, celebrating in... style and sarcastically expressing his complaints about the fact that two goals were -correctly- disallowed earlier. VAR intervened again, the goal counted normally and the "yellow and black" dropped the tempo, managing the match and their forces.

In the 73rd minute, Mandalos also threatened, with the ball going out. Christos Kontis refreshed the lineup in the 78th minute and this gave... wings to OFI who attempted to do the "damage", taking significant measures on the pitch. In the 87th minute, Salcedo tried a shot that went wide, Kutesa "answered" in injury time with the same result, while in the last dangerous situation, Strakosha blocked Rakonjac's header in two periods and on the line.

*** ΑΕΚ - ΟΦΗ 2-1

Ο ΟΦΗ προηγήθηκε στην OPAP Arena κι έβαλε δύσκολα στην ΑΕΚ, όμως η Ένωση «γύρισε» ακόμα ένα ματς (2-1) και σκαρφάλωσε στη κορυφή της βαθμολογίας, αφήνοντας πίσω της Ολυμπιακό (-1) και ΠΑΟΚ (-2).

Για ακόμα ένα -κρύο- βράδυ, η «OPAP Arena» γέμισε στα όρια του sold out, όμως οι Κρητικοί έδειξαν τολμηρές διαθέσεις εξαρχής, με τον Χρήστο Κόντη να χρησιμοποιεί τη... συνταγή της Κραϊόβα (σ.σ. τριάδα στην άμυνα), ενώ ο Μάρκο Νίκολιτς στερήθηκε τον τιμωρημένο Πινέδα και έπρεπε να δει πως θα λειτουργήσουν οι «κιτρινόμαυροι». Μόλις στο 2', ο Νους έφυγε στην πλάτη της άμυνας, έκανε το γύρισμα από τα δεξιά παρά την πίεση του Βίντα, η μπάλα πέρασε κάτω από τα πόδια του Στρακόσα και ο Σαλσέδο πέτυχε το 0-1 σε κενή εστία! Δυο λεπτά αργότερα, ο Ιταλός φορ έφυγε στην «κόντρα», όμως σούταρε άστοχα.

Στο 10' ο Γιόβιτς σκόραρε σε ανυπεράσπιστη εστία μετά την προσπάθεια του Μαρίν, όμως η σύγκρουση του Ρουμάνου μέσου με τον Λίλο άφησε στο έδαφος τον νεαρό τερματοφύλακα με πόνο στο κεφάλι. Έτσι, το VAR ακύρωσε το τέρμα ως επιθετικό φάουλ, φέρνοντας εκνευρισμό στον κόσμο της ΑΕΚ. Οι φιλοξενούμενοι απείλησαν, επίσης, με τον Νους στο 15' και το 18', ενώ στο 21' ο Σενγκέλια που πέρασε ως αλλαγή αντί του τραυματία Φούντα, τράνταξε με σουτ τα δοκάρια του Στρακόσα, σε μια σπουδαία στιγμή. Ο ρυθμός ήταν ξέφρενος ως το 25'. Στο 28' ο Λίλο σταμάτησε εντυπωσιακά τον Καλοσκάμη και στο 44' το σουτ του Ζοάο Μάριο κατέληξε κόρνερ. Λίγο πριν την ανάπαυλα, ο Πενράις κέρδισε πέναλτι από τον Μπόρχα Γκονζάλεθ, όμως η εκτέλεση του Γιόβιτς ήταν κακή, προς το «Γ» ξανά και κατέληξε άουτ, βάζοντας «στοπ» στο σερί του από την «άσπρη βούλα». 

Επιστρέφοντας από τα αποδυτήρια, ο Μάρκο Νίκολιτς έφερε στο παιχνίδι τους Μάνταλο και Κοϊτά, οι Γκρούγιτς και Καλοσκάμης αποσύρθηκαν και η ΑΕΚ ανέβασε κατακόρυφα την έντασή της. Δυο λεπτά μετά τη σέντρα στο δεύτερο μέρος, ο Μάνταλος «σέρβιρε» για τον Γιόβιτς που σκόραρε εκ νέου, όμως το ημιαυτόματο οφσάιντ έδειξε πως ήταν εκτεθειμένος, διατηρώντας το 0-1. Η... λύτρωση για τον «Δικέφαλο» ήλθε στο 54' από τον Λιούμπισιτς, ο οποίος πήρε το «ριμπάουντ» με το κεφάλι στην ασταθή επέμβαση του Λίλο στο σουτ του Κοϊτά και ο Αυστροκροάτης χρίστηκε σκόρερ για τρίτο σερί αγώνα, φθάνοντας τα τέσσερα γκολ. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί πως και αυτό το γκολ ελέγχθηκε στο VAR, καθώς οι Κρητικοί ζήτησαν φάουλ στην εκκίνηση της φάσης, αλλά το 1-1 ήταν γεγονός.

Ακολούθησε ένα κενό διάστημα χωρίς ευκαιρίες, όμως η Ένωση ήταν στο προσκήνιο, έχοντας περικυκλώσει τον ΟΦΗ. Στο 64' υπενθύμισε γιατί οι στατικές φάσεις είναι από τα βασικά ατού της, όταν ο Μαρίν εκτέλεσε το κόρνερ, Βίντα και Γιόβιτς πήδηξαν μαζί και ο Σέρβος επιθετικός διαμόρφωσε με κεφαλιά την ανατροπή για το 2-1, πανηγυρίζοντας με... στυλ και εκφράζοντας σαρκαστικά τα παράπονά του για το γεγονός ότι του ακυρώθηκαν -σωστά- δυο γκολ νωρίτερα. Το VAR επενέβη εκ νέου, το γκολ μέτρησε κανονικά και οι «κιτρινόμαυροι» έριξαν το τέμπο, διαχειριζόμενοι το ματς και τις δυνάμεις τους.

Στο 73' απείλησε και ο Μάνταλος, με την μπάλα να περνά άουτ. Ο Χρήστος Κόντης φρέσκαρε την ενδεκάδα στο 78' και αυτό έδωσε... φτερά στον ΟΦΗ που επιχείρησε να κάνει τη «ζημιά», παίρνοντας σημαντικά μέτρα στο χορτάρι. Στο 87' ο Σαλσέδο δοκίμασε ένα σουτ που πέρασε εκτός, «απάντησε» ο Κουτέσα στις καθυστερήσεις με την ίδια κατάληξη, ενώ στην τελευταία επικίνδυνη κατάσταση ο Στρακόσα μπλόκαρε σε δυο χρόνους και στη γραμμή την κεφαλιά του Ράκονιατς.
