Katas' players dominated in the first half of the match, but in the second half there was a reversal of roles, with the Basques putting a lot of pressure on them. However, the Israelis managed to hold on, taking the victory in the end.
Leaf and Hord were the top scorers from Katas' team, finishing the match with 19 and 17 points, respectively. On the losing side, Cabaro was the protagonist, but it was not enough, scoring 19 points, with Simmons and Diallo following with 12 and 11, respectively.

The match
Maccabi Tel Aviv started with a small 3-0 run, while Simmons opened Baskonia's account from the periphery (3-3). Both teams were fairly inconsistent in the first quarter, with the home team narrowly ahead. However, three minutes before the end of the period, Katas' team improved their offensive game, dominating until the end of the quarter, taking a 5-point lead (25-18). At the start of the second period, Baskonia quickly reduced the lead to three (25-22), while the home team responded immediately, with Dautin and Reiman making it 27-22. The Israelis managed to open up the gap again, but the Basques scored a 6-0 run, reducing it to 5 (35-32). However, the Katas players improved their performance, both in defense and offense, going into the locker room with a double-digit difference (53-43), with Hord and Leaf standing out from Maccabi, scoring 11 each. Baskonia started stronger in the second half, quickly closing the gap in the basket, after baskets by Cabaro and Simmons (54-52). Whenever Maccabi tried to escape the score, the Basques found immediate solutions, as a result of which they remained close to the score (61-57). Midway through the period, Baskonia captain, Sedekerskis, hit a long-range shot, reducing it to a point (61-60). The visitors were quite competitive, with Sedekerski standing out, bringing the match to a draw, but Clark and Simmons scored for Maccabi, at the end of the period, keeping them ahead (71-68).
The Katas players took the lead again, at the start of the last quarter, going to +7, resulting in the Basque coach taking a time-out (81-74). The visitors remained competitive until the end, but Hord and Leaf cleaned up and gave Maccabi the victory.

Με ένα μικρό σερί 3-0 ξεκίνησε η Μακάμπι Τελ Αβίβ, ενώ ο Σίμονς άνοιξε τον λογαριασμό της Μπασκόνια από την περιφέρεια (3-3). Οι δύο ομάδες ήταν αρκετά άστοχες στο πρώτο δεκάλεπτο, με τους γηπεδούχους να βρίσκονται με μικρή διαφορά μπροστά στο σκορ. Ωστόσο, οι παίκτες του Κάτας βελτίωσαν την απόδοσή, τόσο σε άμυνα, όσο και σε επίθεση, πηγαίνοντας στα αποδυτήρια με διψήφια διαφορά (53-43), με τους Χορντ και Λιφ να ξεχωρίζουν από τη Μακάμπι, σκοράροντας 11 ο κάθε ένας τους.
Η Μπασκόνια άρχισε πιο δυνατά στο δεύτερο μέρος, μαζεύοντας γρήγορα τη διαφορά στο καλάθι, μετά από καλάθια των Καμπαρό και Σίμονς (54-52). Όσες φορές η Μακάμπι προσπάθησε να ξεφύγει στο σκορ, οι Βάσκοι έβρισκαν άμεσα λύσεις, με αποτέλεσμα να παραμένουν κοντά στο σκορ ( 61-57). Στα μέσα της περιόδου ο αρχηγός της Μπασκόνια, Σεντεκέρσκις, ευστόχησε από μακριά, μειώνοντας στον πόντο (61-60). Οι φιλοξενούμενοι ήταν αρκετά ανταγωνιστικοί, με τον Σεντεκέρσκι να ξεχωρίζει,φέρνοντας το ματς στα ίσα, όμως οι Κλαρκ και Σίμονς σκόραραν για τη Μακάμπι, στο τέλος της περιόδου, κρατώντας την μπροστά (71-68).
Οι παίκτες του Κάτας πήραν ξανά διαφορά, στο ξεκίνημα του τελευταίου δεκαλέπτου, πηγαίνοντας στο +7, με αποτέλεσμα ο προπονητής των Βάσκων να πάρει time-out (81-74). Οι φιλοξενούμενοι παρέμειναν ανταγωνιστικοί μέχρι το τέλος, όμως οι Χορντ και Λιφ καθάρισαν και έδωσαν τη νίκη στη Μακάμπι.
