Γιοβάνοβιτς: «Απογοητεύσαμε πολύ κόσμο, πρέπει να γίνουμε πιο δυνατοί και απαιτητικοί»

Jovanovic: "We disappointed a lot of people, we need to become stronger and more demanding"

After the 0-0 draw with Belarus, the coach of the Greek National Team, Ivan Jovanovic, expressed his disappointment that the "blue and white" team failed to qualify for the final phase of the World Cup.

Speaking to Alpha's camera after the 0-0 draw with Belarus, Ivan Jovanovic described the fact that the Greek National Team failed to qualify from the group it participated in as a "failure".

"It is a failure that we did not go to the World Cup. It is not a matter to be discussed now. We were eliminated from a big goal. We were playing a game that was not particularly important for qualification, but it is a moment when no one feels good", he initially underlined and continued by answering a question about what had made the biggest impression on him so far:

"I was impressed by the presence of the people on the field. This has a very great value for us. It makes our responsibilities greater, as well as the feeling of disappointment. We disappointed a lot of people".

Finally, on whether he believes that the National Team can reach a major tournament, he emphasized: "I believe so because we have a talented team, which is gaining experience. At the moment we are disappointed and we see the continuation and the next challenges that lie ahead. We must become stronger and more demanding for the continuation".

Ο τεχνικός της Εθνικής Ελλάδας, Ιβάν Γιοβάνοβιτς μετά το 0-0 με τη Λευκορωσία εξέφρασε την απογοήτευσή του για το ότι η «γαλανόλευκη» δεν κατάφερε να προκριθεί στην τελική φάση του Μουντιάλ.

Μιλώντας στην κάμερα του Alpha μετά το 0-0 με τη Λευκορωσία, ο Ιβάν Γιοβάνοβιτς χαρακτήρισε «αποτυχία» το γεγονός ότι η Εθνική Ελλάδας δεν κατάφερε να προκριθεί από τον όμιλο που συμμετείχε.

«Είναι αποτυχία ότι δεν πήγαμε στο Μουντιάλ. Δεν είναι το θέμα να γίνει συζήτηση τώρα. Αποκλειστήκαμε από έναν μεγάλο στόχο. Παίζαμε ένα παιχνίδι που δεν είχε ιδιαίτερη σημασία για την πρόκριση, αλλά είναι μια στιγμή που κανείς δεν αισθάνεται καλά», υπογράμμισε αρχικά και συνέχισε απαντώντας σε ερώτηση για το τι ήταν αυτό που του έχει κάνει τη μεγαλύτερη εντύπωση ως τώρα:

«Μου έκανε εντύπωση η παρουσία του κόσμου στο γήπεδο. Αυτό έχει πολύ μεγάλη αξία για μας. Μας κάνει τις ευθύνες μας μεγαλύτερες, όπως και την αίσθηση της απογοήτευσης. Απογοητεύσαμε πολύ κόσμο».

Τέλος για το αν πιστεύει ότι η Εθνική μπορεί να φτάσει σε μια μεγάλη διοργάνωση τόνισε: «Το πιστεύω γιατί έχουμε μια ταλαντούχα ομάδα, που αποκτά εμπειρίες. Αυτή τη στιγμή έχουμε απογοήτευση και βλέπουμε τη συνέχεια και τις επόμενες προκλήσεις που υπάρχουν μπροστά. Πρέπει να γίνουμε πιο δυνατοί και απαιτητικοί για τη συνέχεια».
