Karditsa did not manage to leave Turkey with a positive result, knowing the defeat by Mersin in the 3rd round of the Basketball Champions League, in a game where they fought but gave up in the final.

The Greek team tried to show a reaction after the defeat by Unicaja at home, but they were unable to limit the momentum of Mersin, who took advantage of their home ground and prevailed with 81-73 in the 3rd round of the Basketball Champions League.

Karditsa was competitive for a long time of the match, especially in the first half, when their defense kept the Turks low.

However, the continuous mistakes and the failure to make three-pointers in the second half of the match gave Mersin the opportunity to “build” a safety margin and reach the victory.

On the home side, the players of Servim confirmed their upward trajectory after the imposing “double” over Ostend (86–104) in the 2nd matchday, continuing with a positive sign in the competition.

Η Καρδίτσα δεν κατάφερε να φύγει με το θετικό αποτέλεσμα από την Τουρκία, γνωρίζοντας την ήττα από τη Μερσίν για την 3η αγωνιστική του Basketball Champions League, σε ένα παιχνίδι όπου πάλεψε αλλά λύγισε στο φινάλε.

Η ελληνική ομάδα προσπάθησε να δείξει αντίδραση μετά την ήττα από την Ουνικάχα στην έδρα της, όμως δεν μπόρεσε να περιορίσει τη δυναμική της Μερσίν, που εκμεταλλεύτηκε την έδρα της και επικράτησε με 81-73 για την 3η αγωνιστική του Basketball Champions League.

Η Καρδίτσα στάθηκε ανταγωνιστική για μεγάλο διάστημα του αγώνα, ιδιαίτερα στο πρώτο ημίχρονο, όταν η άμυνά της κράτησε χαμηλά τους Τούρκους.

Ωστόσο, τα συνεχόμενα λάθη και η αστοχία στα τρίποντα στο δεύτερο μέρος του ματς, έδωσαν την ευκαιρία στη Μερσίν να “χτίσει” διαφορά ασφαλείας και να φτάσει στη νίκη.

Από την πλευρά των γηπεδούχων, οι παίκτες του Σερβίμ επιβεβαίωσαν την ανοδική τους πορεία μετά το επιβλητικό “διπλό” επί της Οστάνδης (86–104) στη 2η αγωνιστική, συνεχίζοντας με θετικό πρόσημο στη διοργάνωση.

Η Καρδίτσα, από την άλλη, θα έχει την ευκαιρία να επανέλθει στα θετικά αποτελέσματα την επόμενη αγωνιστική, όταν θα υποδεχτεί την Οστάνδη στις 11 Νοεμβρίου (20:00) ενώ η Μερσίν θα φιλοξενήσει την Ουνικάχα στις 12 Νοεμβρίου (19:00).
