Jovanovic: "I hope we have beautiful evenings with Belarus and Denmark"

The coach of the Greek National Team Ivan Jovanovic emphasized the obvious, that the goal is to qualify for the World Cup and referred to the support of the people.

The National Team is entering the battle for the big goal.

The internationals gathered today and held their first training session, in order to present themselves as ready as possible for the first two matches at the "G. Karaiskakis" stadium with Belarus on September 5 and with Denmark on the 9th of the month.

The national team coach Ivan Jovanovic did not hide, of course, that everyone's goal and desire is to be present at the World Cup that will take place in the summer of 2026 in the stadiums of the USA, Mexico and Canada. He also spoke about the connection that the National Team now has with the world and hopes that everyone will experience two beautiful evenings.

Jovanovic's detailed statements:

Regarding the first two matches and whether there are concerns about the players' readiness, since it is the beginning of the season: "Our next goal is these qualifiers and participation in the World Championship. It is a new challenge for us and it will take a great competitive effort to achieve them.

It is logical to have concerns about the players' condition and the level of readiness, because we are all at the beginning of a season. We have two matches at home, we must do everything to win and start well. It will take a lot of attention and concentration and to take advantage of the 2-3 days we have ahead of us to prepare."

Regarding the crowd: "Last year we had a large presence of fans in all the matches. Both in the Nations League and in the friendlies. I believe the same will happen in the first two matches for the World Cup qualifiers. We are now used to playing in a full stadium. We feel their support and willingness to help us and I hope it will be one of the beautiful evenings, like the previous ones.”

Ο τεχνικός της Εθνικής Ελλάδας Ιβάν Γιοβάνοβιτς τόνισε το αυτονόητο, ότι ο στόχος είναι η πρόκριση στο Μουντιάλ και αναφέρθηκε στη στήριξη του κόσμου.

Η Εθνική μπαίνει στη μάχη για τον μεγάλο στόχο.

Οι διεθνείς συγκεντρώθηκαν σήμερα και πραγματοποίησαν την πρώτη προπόνηση, ώστε να παρουσιαστούν όσο το δυνατόν πιο έτοιμοι για τα δύο πρώτα ματς στο «Γ. Καραϊσκάκης» με την Λευκορωσία στις 5 Σεπτεμβρίου με τη Δανία στις 9 του μήνα.

Ο ομοσπιονδιακός τεχνικός Ιβάν Γιοβάνοβιτς δεν έκρυψε φυσικά ότι στόχος κι επιθυμία όλων είναι η παρουσία στο Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο που θα γίνει το καλοκαίρι του 2026 στα γήπεδα των ΗΠΑ, του Μεξικού και του Καναδά. Στάθηκε επίσης στη σύνδεση που έχει πλέον η Εθνική με τον κόσμο κι ελπίζει να ζήσουν όλοι δύο ωραία βράδια.

Αναλυτικά οι δηλώσεις του Γιοβάνοβιτς:

Για τα δύο πρώτα ματς κι αν υπάρχει προβληματισμός για την ετοιμότητα των παικτών, αφού είναι αρχή της σεζόν: «Ο επόμενος στόχος μας είναι αυτά τα προκριματικά και η συμμετοχή στο Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα. Είναι νέα πρόκληση για μας και θα χρειαστεί μία μεγάλη αγωνιστική προσπάθεια για να τα καταφέρουμε.

Είναι λογικό να έχουμε προβληματισμούς για την κατάσταση των παικτών και τον βαθμό ετοιμότητας, διότι βρισκόμαστε όλοι στο ξεκίνημα μίας σεζόν. Έχουμε δύο ματς στην έδρα μας, πρέπει να κάνουμε τα πάντα για να νικήσουμε και να ξεκινήσουμε καλά. Θα χρειαστεί πολλή προσοχή κι αυτοσυγκέντρωση και να εκμεταλλευτούμε τις 2-3 μέρες που έχουμε μπροστά μας για να προετοιμαστούμε».

Για τον κόσμο: «Τον τελευταίο χρόνο είχαμε μεγάλη παρουσία φιλάθλων σε όλα τα ματς. Και στο Nations League και στα φιλικά. Πιστεύω το ίδιο θα γίνει και στα δύο πρώτα ματς για τα προκριματικά του Μουντιάλ. Είμαστε συνηθισμένοι πλέον να παίζουμε σε γεμάτο γήπεδο. Αισθανόμαστε την υποστήριξή τους και τη διάθεση να μας βοηθήσουν κι ελπίζω να είναι από τα όμορφα βράδια, όπως ήταν και τα προηγούμενα».
