Sergio De Larraí was awesome, scoring 12 points in the last period and winning the Super Cup for Valencia.

The final of the Spanish Super Cup, held in Malaga between Real Madrid and Valencia, turned into a derby with the typical guests finally winning 94-98 and winning their first title of the season, with the absolute protagonist being the 19-year-old Sergio De Larraí, who stopped at 21 points.

Real Madrid entered the final better and, with Lyles and Hezonja as the main players, took a three-point lead in the first quarter (27-24).

Valencia then equalized and with Moore, Taylor and Puerto taking advantage of the absences of Montero, Lopez-Arostegui and Badio, they took the lead at the end of the first half 44-51.

In the second half, Hezonja kept Real close to the score, but Valencia showed why they could be one of the surprises of the season.

Τρομερός ο Σέρχιο Ντε Λαρέα, πέτυχε 12 πόντους στην τελευταία περίοδο και καθάρισε το Super Cup για την Βαλένθια.

Σε ντέρμπι εξελίχθηκε ο τελικός του ισπανικού Super Cup, που διεξήχθη στη Μάλαγα ανάμεσα στην Ρεάλ και την Βαλένθια με τους τυπικά φιλοξενούμενους να παίρνουν τελικά τη νίκη με 94-98 και να κατακτούν τον πρώτο τίτλο της σεζόν, έχοντας για απόλυτο πρωταγωνιστή τον 19χρονο Σέρχιο Ντε Λαρέα, που σταμάτησε στους 21 πόντους.

Η Ρεάλ μπήκε καλύτερα στον τελικό και με κύριο εκφραστή τους Λάιλς και Χεζόνια πήρε προβάδισμα τριών πόντων στο πρώτο δεκάλεπτο (27-24).

Στη συνέχεια η Βαλένθια ισορρόπησε και με τους Μουρ, Τέιλορ και Πουέρτο να εκμεταλλεύονται τις απουσίες των Μοντέρο, Λόπεθ-Αροστέγκι και Μπάντιο, πέρασε μπροστά στο τέλος του πρώτου μέρους με 44-51.

Στην επανάληψη ο Χεζόνια κράτησε μόνος του την Ρεάλ κοντά στο σκορ, όμως η Βαλένθια απέδειξε γιατί ενδέχεται να είναι μία από τις εκπλήξεις της σεζόν.

Ο Σέρχιο Ντε Λαρέα ήταν clutch σε ένα ακόμα παιχνίδι, πετυχαίνοντας 12 πόντους στην τελευταία περίοδο και 21 συνολικά, ενώ ο Τέιλορ πρόσθεσε 17 πόντους και μοίρασε 4 ασίστ.
