MotoGP - Austria: Marquez takes the lead in the Red Bull Ring Sprint Race
Marc Marquez was the star of the MotoGP Sprint Race at the Red Bull Ring, without much difficulty.
In a race that turned into a walk, Ducati's Marc Marquez, without a rival, managed to win the MotoGP sprint for the Austrian Grand Prix. Despite starting from 4th place, the Spaniard did not find any obstacles and opened his gap in the standings even further.
Alex Marquez of Gresini Racing took 2nd place. The Spaniard did not defend against his brother and had no answer to the pace of the red GP25, finishing in the same position as he started. In 3rd place was KTM's Pedro Acosta, who had a very good race and is expected to be even stronger tomorrow.

The Sprint Race
At the start, the Marquez brothers made the ideal start and turned in positions 1 and 2 with Alex ahead of Marc. Banaia made a bad start and dropped to 14th place. The poleman, Bezzeki, dropped to 3rd, while at the start of the 2nd lap he was overtaken by Acosta.
In the following laps the Marquez brothers fought, with Acosta following them closely. However, the KTM rider was on the verge of a penalty for violating track limits from the 3rd lap.
With 8 laps to go, A. Marquez had a safety gap of half a second over his brother. The two of them began to pull away from Acosta, while the battle for 5th place had heated up between Fernandez and Binder. The KTM rider managed to climb into the top 5 on the next lap.
Banaia's race went from bad to worse, with the Italian retiring halfway through the race with a mechanical problem on his GP25.
Entering the final 5 laps, M. Márquez had come dangerously close to his brother, while Fernandez dropped from 6th to last. At Turn 3 of the same lap, A. Márquez made a mistake and this allowed his brother, Marc, to move up to the top. At the brakes for Turn 4, Alex had the inside, but chose not to regain the lead and so stayed 2nd.
M. Marquez was in complete control until the end of the race and crossed the finish line in 1st place to take another victory in 2025. A. Marquez took 2nd place and Acosta completed the podium.
They were followed in the 9th place by Bezzek, Binder, Aldeguer, Bastianini, Di Gianandonio and Zarco.

The main race of the three-day race is scheduled for 15:00 Greek time at noon on Sunday

O Μαρκ Μάρκεθ ήταν ο πρωταγωνιστής στον Αγώνα Σπριντ του MotoGP στο Red Bull Ring, δίχως να δυσκολευτεί ιδιαίτερα.
Σε έναν αγώνα που εξελίχθηκε σε περίπατο, ο Μαρκ Μάρκεθ της Ducati δίχως αντίπαλο κατάφερε να κερδίσει το σπριντ του MotoGP για το Grand Prix Αυστρίας. Παρά το γεγονός πως ξεκίνησε από την 4η θέση, ο Ισπανός δεν βρήκε κανένα εμπόδιο και άνοιξε ακόμη περισσότερο τη διαφορά του στη βαθμολογία.
Ο Άλεξ Μάρκεθ της Gresini Racing πήρε τη 2η θέση. Ο Ισπανός δεν αμύνθηκε στον αδερφό του και δεν είχε απάντηση στο ρυθμό της κόκκινης GP25 τερματίζοντας στη θέση από την οποία ξεκίνησε. Στην 3η θέση τερμάτισε ο Πέδρο Ακόστα της KTM, o οποίος έκανε έναν πολύ καλό αγώνα και αύριο αναμένεται ακόμη πιο δυνατός.

Ο Αγώνας Σπριντ
Στην εκκίνηση, τα αδέρφια Μάρκεθ έκαναν την ιδανική εκκίνηση και έστριψαν στις θέσεις 1 και 2 με τον Άλεξ μπροστά από τον Μαρκ. Ο Μπανάια έκανε κάκιστη εκκίνηση και έπεσε στη 14η θέση. Ο poleman, Μπετζέκι έπεσε 3ος, ενώ στο ξεκίνημα του 2ου γύρου τον προσπέρασε ο Ακόστα.
Στους επόμενους γύρους τα αδέρφια Μάρκεθ έδιναν μάχη, με τον Ακόστα να τους ακολουθεί από κοντά. Όμως ο αναβάτης της KTM ήταν από τον 3ο γύρο στο όριο ποινής για παραβίαση ορίων πίστας.
Με 8 γύρους για το τέλος ο Α. Μάρκεθ είχε μια διαφορά ασφαλείας από τον αδερφό του στο μισό δευτερόλεπτο. Οι δυο τους άρχισαν να απομακρύνονται από τον Ακόστα, ενώ η μάχη είχε ανάψει για την 5η θέση ανάμεσα σε Φερνάντεθ και Μπίντερ. Ο αναβάτης της KTM κατάφερε να ανέβει στην πρώτη 5άδα στον επόμενο γύρο.
Ο αγώνας του Μπανάια πήγε από το κακό στο χειρότερο, με τον Ιταλό να εγκαταλείπει στα μισά του αγώνα με μηχανικό πρόβλημα στην GP25 του.
Μπαίνοντας τους 5 τελευταίους γύρους, ο Μ. Μάρκεθ είχε πλησιάσει επικίνδυνα τον αδερφό του, ενώ ο Φερνάντεθ έπεσε από 6ος τελευταίος. Στη στροφή 3 του ίδιου γύρου, ο Α. Μάρκεθ έκανε λάθος και αυτό επέτρεψε στον αδερφό του, Μαρκ, να ανέβει στην κορυφή. Στα φρένα για τη στορφή 4 ο Άλεξ είχε την εσωτερική, όμως επέλεξε να μην ανακτήσει την πρωτοπορία κι έτσι έμεινε 2ος.
Ο Μ. Μάρκεθ είχε τον απόλυτο έλεγχο μέχρι το τέλος του αγώνα και πέρασε 1ος τη γραμμή του τερματισμού για να πάρει ακόμα μία νίκη στο 2025. Ο Α. Μάρκεθ πήρε τη 2η θέση και το βάθρο συμπλήρωσε ο Ακόστα.
Ακολούθησαν στη βαθμολογούμενη 9άδα οι Μπετζέκι, Μπίντερ, Αλντεγκέρ, Μπαστιανίνι, Ντι Τζιαναντόνιο και Ζαρκό.
Και τώρα το Grand Prix
Ο κύριος αγώνας του τριημέρου είναι προγραμματισμένος για τις 15:00 ώρα Ελλάδος το μεσημέρι της Κυριακής
