At noon on Sunday (17/08), the Thessaloniki team announced the acquisition of Bryn Forbes, who signed a contract until the summer of 2026.

The 32-year-old American shooting guard, who won the NBA championship alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021, had long agreed with the "yellows" and today the deal was formalized.

Bryn Forbes was born on July 23, 1993 and with a height of 1.88m. plays in the shooting guard position.

The 32-year-old ace was crowned NBA champion in 2021, with Giannis Antetokounmpo's Milwaukee Bucks, having a particularly active role, since in the season he averaged 10 points with an impressive 45% from the three-point line.

Forbes began his college career in 2012 at Cleveland State. In his first year, he had 12.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 32 games. His sophomore year was better, with 15.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

In 2014, he transferred to Michigan State and averaged 8.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in his freshman year, shooting 42.7% from three-point range. His final NCAA season was much better, with 14.4 points and 48.1% from three-point range, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He earned numerous accolades, including being named to the USBWA All-District V 1st Team, Media All-Big Ten 2nd Team, Coaches All-Big Ten 2nd Team and PIT All-Tournament Team.

In the summer of 2016, he earned a spot on the San Antonio Spurs roster after making 77/100 three-pointers in a practice, impressing Gregg Popovich. He played sparingly in his first season (36 games, 7.9 minutes, 2.6 points) and in 2017-18, he had a bigger role. He stayed on the court for 19 minutes per game, with 6.9 points (39% from three-point range), 1.4 rebounds and 1 assist. His time and role continued to increase. In 2018, he renewed with the Spurs and, starting in 81 of the 82 games he played, he had 11.8 points on 42.6% from three-point range, along with 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He had similar efficiency in the 2019-20 season with the Texans, with 11.2 points and 39% from three-point range, 2 rebounds and 1.7 assists. In the playoffs, he had 10.7 points and 48.4% from three-point range.

In 2020, he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks with whom he had a successful season, reaching the title victory. He counted 10 points per game with a record percentage from three-point range, 45%. In the playoffs, he played in 20 of the Bucks' 23 games, with 6.6 points (and 37% from the three-point line) in 13’.7’’ participation per game.

In the summer of 2021, he returned to the San Antonio Spurs. He appeared in 40 games, scoring 9.1 points in just 16.9 minutes, before being traded to the Denver Nuggets. He averaged 8.6 points in 17.4 minutes with the Nuggets. In the 2022-23 season, Forbes played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 3.6 points per game. Last season, he played in Puerto Rico. He started the year with Santeros de Aguada, where he had 21 points on 50% three-point shooting, 2.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals. In the second half of the season, he played for Mets de Guaynabo, where he averaged 17.8 points (44.1% from the three-point line), 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals.

Το μεσημέρι της Κυριακής (17/08), οι Θεσσαλονικείς ανακοίνωσαν την απόκτηση του Μπριν Φορμπς, ο οποίος υπέγραψε συμβόλαιο συνεργασίας μέχρι το καλοκαίρι του 2026.

Ο 32χρονος Αμερικανός σούτινγκ γκαρντ, που είχε κατακτήσει το πρωτάθλημα του ΝΒΑ στο πλευρό του Γιάννη Αντετοκούνμπο με τους Μιλγουόκι Μπακς το 2021, είχε συμφωνήσει εδώ και καιρό με τους «κίτρινους» και σήμερα το deal επισημοποιήθηκε.

Ο Bryn Forbes γεννήθηκε Στις 23 Ιουλίου του 1993 και με ύψος 1.88μ. αγωνίζεται στη θέση του σούτινγκ γκαρντ.

Το 2020 υπέγραψε στους Milwaukee Bucks με τους οποίους είχε μία επιτυχημένη σεζόν, φτάνοντας στην κατάκτηση του τίτλου. Μέτρησε 10 πόντους ανά αγώνα με ποσοστό – ρεκόρ στο τρίποντο, 45%. Στα πλέι οφ, αγωνίστηκε στους 20 από τους 23 αγώνες των Bucks, με 6.6 πόντους (και 37% από τη γραμμή του τριπόντου) σε 13’.7’’ συμμετοχής ανά ματς.

Το καλοκαίρι του 2021 επέστρεψε στους San Antonio Spurs. Έδωσε το «παρών» σε 40 αγώνες, πετυχαίνοντας 9.1 πόντους σε μόλις 16’.9’’, πριν μεταγραφεί στους Denver Nuggets. Στους «Σβώλους» μέτρησε 8.6 πόντους σε 17’4’’.

Τη σεζόν 2022-23 ο Forbes αγωνίστηκε στους Minnesota Timberwolves, μετρώντας 3.6 πόντους ανά αγώνα. Την περσινή σεζόν έπαιξε στο Πουέρτο Ρίκο. Ξεκίνησε τη χρονιά στη Santeros de Aguada, με την οποία είχε 21 πόντους με 50% στο τρίποντο, 2.2 ριμπάουντ, 3.5 ασίστ και 1.2 κλεψίματα.
