Greece – Sweden 3-1: With many tests, they made it two for two in the friendly matches

Second victory in as many friendly matches for the Women’s National Volleyball Team against Sweden, as Greece prevailed again with a 3-1 set at the indoor “M. Merkouri”.

The Women’s National Volleyball Team made it “two for two” in the friendly matches against Sweden, prevailing again with a 3-1 set.

In the second friendly match at “M. Merkouri”, both Apostolos Economou (from the beginning of the match) and Lorenzo Miceli (from the second set) made several tests, while the two teams will complete the series of friendly matches on Tuesday evening (29/7, 19:00).

In the first set, after 5-6, Sweden (playing with its basic formation) with pressure on the serve and taking advantage of our mistakes built a significant difference (5-9, 8-14) which it held with relative comfort until the end (15-25).

In the second set, Apostolos Economou made new changes (Tani, Tikmanidou, Papageorgiou), Lambrousi with the National Team initially reacting (6-3) and Sweden (without the Haak sisters) responding immediately (8-10) and a battle followed with the two teams alternating in the score, but Papageorgiou's ace shaping the final 25-23.

In the third set, our representative team, after the initial 8-8, built a difference (12-9, 15-11), with Sweden responding for 16-17 and reaching 19-21. A new upset for the Greek team (22-21) and at 23-23 two errors (lost serve, out of place) shaped the final 25-23 for our 2-1 advantage.

A good start in the fourth set with Greece escaping 10-5, but Sweden again quickly collected the difference, tying 10-10. After the timeout of Apostolos Economou, we immediately took the change and with a new run we escaped with 15-10 and comfortably reached the final 25-18.

3rd set: 8-7, 16-14, 19-21, 25-23

4th set: 8-5, 16-11, 21-16, 25-18

Δεύτερη νίκη σε ισάριθμα φιλικά για την Εθνική βόλεϊ γυναικών απέναντι στη Σουηδία, καθώς η Ελλάδα επικράτησε ξανά με 3-1 σετ στο κλειστό “Μ. Μερκούρη”.

Η Εθνική βόλεϊ γυναικών έκανε το “δύο στα δύο” στις φιλικές αναμετρήσεις με τη Σουηδία, επικρατώντας εκ νέου με 3-1 σετ.

Στο δεύτερο φιλικό του “Μ. Μερκούρη”, τόσο ο Απόστολος Οικονόμου (από την αρχή του αγώνα), όσο και ο Λορέντζο Μιτσέλι (από το δεύτερο σετ) έκαναν αρκετές δοκιμές, ενώ οι δύο ομάδες θα ολοκληρώσουν τη σειρά των φιλικών αναμετρήσεων το βράδυ της Τρίτης (29/7, 19:00).

Στο πρώτο σετ μετά το 5-6 η Σουηδία (παίζοντας με το βασικό της σχήμα) με πίεση στο σερβίς και εκμεταλλευόμενη τα δικά μας λάθη έχτισε μια σημαντική διαφορά (5-9, 8-14) την οποία κράτησε με σχετική άνεση ως το τέλος (15-25).

Στο δεύτερο σετ ο Απόστολος Οικονόμου προχώρησε σε νέες αλλαγές (Τάνη, Τικμανίδου, Παπαγεωργίου), Λαμπρούση με την Εθνική να βγάζει αρχικά αντίδραση (6-3) και τη Σουηδία (χωρίς τις αδελφές Χάακ) να απαντά άμεσα (8-10) και να ακολουθήσει μια μάχη με τις δύο ομάδες να εναλλάσσονται στο σκορ, αλλά τον άσσο της Παπαγεωργίου να διαμορφώνει το τελικό 25-23.

Στο τρίτο σετ το αντιπροσωπευτικό μας συγκρότημα μετά το αρχικό 8-8, έχτισε μια διαφορά (12-9, 15-11), με τη Σουηδία να απαντά για το 16-17 και να φτάνει στο 19-21. Νέα ανατροπή για την ελληνική ομάδα (22-21) και στο 23-23 δύο λάθη (χαμένο σερβίς, άουτ πλασέ) διαμόρφωσαν το τελικό 25-23 για το υπέρ μας 2-1.

Καλή εκκίνηση στο δ’ σετ με την Ελλάδα να ξεφεύγει 10-5, αλλά η Σουηδία και πάλι μάζεψε γρήγορα τη διαφορά ισοφαρίζοντας 10-10. Μετά το τάιμ άουτ του Απόστολου Οικονόμου πήραμε αμέσως την αλλαγή και μ’ ένα νέο σερί ξεφύγαμε με 15-10 και φτάσαμε άνετα στο τελικό 25-18.
