Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη έκανε το πρώτο βήμα στο τουρνουά του Ντε Μπος καθώς επικράτησε 2-0 της Ανούκ Κοέβερμανς και στον επόμενο γύρο θα αντιμετωπίσει την Ελίζ Μέρτενς.

Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη ξεκίνησε με το δεξί τη σεζόν στο γρασίδι, καθώς επικράτησε της Ανούκ Κοέβερμανς 2-0 σετ (6-3, 6-4) σε μια μονομαχία που διήρκησε μιάμιση ώρα. Πλέον έχει μπροστά της στους 16 το εμπόδιο της Ελίζ Μέρτενς.

Στο πρώτο σετ οι δύο τενίστριες έκαναν αλεπάλληλα breaks η μια στο σερβίς της άλλης με την Ελληνίδα να κρατάει το καίριο break, κάνοντας το 5-3 και το κράτησε στο τέλος κάνοντας το 6-3.

Αντίθετα το δεύτερο σετ ήταν πολύ πιο ισορρπημένο, καθώς ένα μόλις break στο πέμπτο game ήταν αρκετό για τη Μαρία Σάκκαρη για να επικρατήσει με 6-4 και να κατακτήσει το παιχνίδι.
