Mavericks - Timberwolves 99-105: Dallas closes in epic upset from -28, but Edwards gives Minnesota victory (vid)
The Timberwolves came out victorious in the "thriller" with the Mavericks with 105-99, despite the great reversal that the Dallas team attempted to do. Anthony Edwards was named MVP.
The Timberwolves outlasted the Mavericks 105-99 to take the Christmas showdown in Dallas on Wednesday night (12/25).
The hosts, in addition to the match, also lost Luka Doncic who suffered a bruised left calf and was knocked out in the second period.
The Slovenian superstar was injured in the period when the Timberwolves blew their lead (40-57, 24'). The distance between the two teams even reached 28 points (60-88, 34'), with the Mavericks reducing in the fourth quarter (94-99, 43') with Irving as the protagonist. Thompson hit a big three-pointer for 99-101 (47'), Irving missed for Dallas' overtaking, and Edwards hit a layup to give the Wolves a breather (99-103, 18.6 for the expiration) and seal the "double".
Anthony Edwards (26 points, 4/7 three-pointers, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) and Julius Randle (23 points, 3/5 three-pointers, 10 rebounds, 8 assists) emerged as protagonists for the Timberwolves.
Kyrie Irving stood out for the Mavericks with 39 points, 5/14 three-pointers, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Luka Doncic stopped at 14 points with 3/5 three-pointers and 5 rebounds.
The "wolves" rose to 15-14 after tonight's duel in Texas, the Mavericks fell to 19-11.

Οι Τίμπεργουλβς επικράτησαν 105-99 των Μάβερικς και πήραν τη χριστουγεννιάτικη "μονομαχία" στο Ντάλας το βράδυ της Τετάρτης (25/12).
Οι γηπεδούχοι, εκτός από το ματς, έχασαν και τον Λούκα Ντόντσιτς που υπέστη θλάση στην αριστερή γάμπα, βγαίνοντας νοκ-άουτ στη δεύτερη περίοδο.
Ο Σλοβένος σούπερ σταρ τραυματίστηκε στο διάστημα που οι Τίμπεργουλβς εκτόξευσαν τη διαφορά τους (40-57, 24'). Στο 15-14 ανέβηκαν οι "λύκοι" μετά από την αποψινή μονομαχία στο Τέξας, στο 19-11 έπεσαν οι Μάβερικς.
