Tom Tiponto is dropping...anchor in New York, as ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports, the 66-year-old coach has agreed to a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the Knicks until 2028.
The experienced technician has been on the Knicks bench since 2020 and will maintain his position in the coming years.
Last season the New York Knicks finished in second place in the regular season in the East with a record of 50-32. Their run was halted in the semifinals of the respective region, as they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers.

Ο Τομ Τίποντο ρίχνει... άγκυρα στη Νέα Υόρκη, καθώς όπως αναφέρει ο Έιντριαν Βοϊναρόφσκι του ESPN, ο 66χρονος προπονητής συμφώνησε για τριετή επέκταση του συμβολαίου του, που θα τον κρατήσει στους Νικς μέχρι το 2028.
Ο πολύπειρος τεχνικός βρίσκεται από το 2020 στον πάγκο των Νικς και θα διατηρήσει τη θέση του και τα επόμενα χρόνια.
Την περασμένη αγωνιστική περίοδο οι Νιου Γιορκ Νικς τερμάτισαν στην δεύτερη θέση της κανονικής περιόδου στην Ανατολή με ρεκόρ 50-32. Η πορεία τους σταμάτησε στους ημιτελικούς της σχετικής περιφέρειας, καθώς αποκλείστηκαν από τους Ιντιάνα Πέισερς.
