But Tzari was more determined, he achieved the break at a crucial point in the 11th game, leading 0-40, Tsitsipas "erased" the first two opportunities, but not the 3rd one. Jari overtook 6-5 and with psychology at its zenith, reached a love game, with an ace and two winners, reaching 7-5 and qualifying for the quarterfinals.

«Πέταξε» τις ευκαιρίες και το πλήρωσε

Ο παίκτης από τη Χιλή με love game έκανε το 2-1, ο Τσιτσιπάς με τον ίδιο τρόπο σε 65 δευτερόλεπτα, με τρεις άσους ισοφάρισε σε 2-2 και με τον ίδιο τρόπο στο 3-3.

Με το μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό των πόντων να κρίνονται σε ράλι μέχρι τέσσερα χτυπήματα (οι 30 από τους 38 στα πέντε πρώτα game) οι παίκτες διατήρησαν

με άνεση το σερβίς τους μέχρι το 4-4.

Στο 9ο game o Τσιτσιπάς βρέθηκε ξανά σε νέες ευκαιρίες για break στο 30-40 και με αβαντάζ, όμως ο Τζάρι βγάζοντας καλό 1ο σερβίς, βγήκε από τη δύσκολη θέση για το 5-4.

Με τον Τσιτσιπά να σερβίρει με ποσοστό 83% από το 1ο σερβίς, έγινε εύκολα το 5-5 και τον Τζάρι να απαντά με love game για το 6-5.

Eκεί ο Τζάρι πέτυχε πρώτος mini break (4-3), ο Τσιτσιπάς το πήρε αμέσως πίσω (4-4) και μετά έφθασε στο 6-5 και το πρώτο δικό του break point, που δεν το εκμεταλλεύτηκε. Αντίθετα ο Τζάρι αν και έχασε νέα ευκαιρία στο 7-6, στο 8-7 έφθασε στην κατάκτηση του σετ με 7-6(7).

Στο κρίσιμο σημείο δεν έβγαλε αντίδραση

Με πιο αμφίρροπα game άρχισε το 2ο σετ, με τον Τσιτσιπά στο 3ο game να κινδυνεύει με break στο 30-40 και έπειτα από τέσσερις ισοπαλίες να το κατακτά για το 2-1. Με το παιχνίδι να κινείται στους ίδιους ρυθμούς το σετ πήγε στο 4-3.

O Τζάρι με love game έκανε το 4-4 και μετά ο παίκτης από τη Χιλή έχασε τη 2η ευκαιρία για break στο σετ, με τον Τσιτσιπά να διατηρεί το προβάδισμα. Όμως ο Τζάρι πιο αποφασιστικός, πέτυχε το break σε καίριο σημείο το 11o game, προηγήθηκε 0-40, o Tσιτσιπάς «έσβησε» τις δύο πρώτες ευκαιρίες, όχι όμως και την 3η. Ο Τζάρι προσπέρασε 6-5 και με την ψυχολογία στο ζενίθ, έφθασε σε love game, με έναν άσο και δύο winners, φθάνοντας στο 7-5 και στην πρόκριση στα προημιτελικά.
