Όπως ανακοίνωσαν οι «πράσινοι», δεν θα ανανεωθούν τα συμβόλαια του Τέοντορ Γκέμπρε Σελάσιε και του Νίκλας Μοϊσάντερ. Πρόκειται για δύο ποδοσφαιριστές που έβαλαν τη «σφραγίδα» τους στη γερμανική ομάδα τα προηγούμενα χρόνια, ωστόσο, λόγω υποβιβασμού, αλλά και ηλικίας, αποχωρούν.
Ο 34χρονος Τσέχος δεξιός μπακ αποχωρεί από τη Βρέμη μετά από 9 χρόνια παρουσίας, στα οποία κατέγραψε 298 συμμετοχές και 24 γκολ, ενώ ο 35χρονος Φινλανδός κεντρικός αμυντικός αγωνίστηκε στη Βέρντερ για 5 χρόνια, έχοντας 142 συμμετοχές και 3 τέρματα.
