Ο κορονοϊός χτυπάει και τον αθλητισμό και η Premier League ανακοίνωσε απόψε ότι προέκυψαν 16 θετικά κρούσματα στον τελευταίο γύρο των τεστ για COVID-19.

Αφορούν εξετάσεις που διεξήχθησαν σε παίκτες και προσωπικό την περασμένη εβδομάδα. Ο συγκεκριμένος αριθμός είναι ο υψηλότερος σε έναν γύρο από την έναρξη της νέας σεζόν τον Σεπτέμβριο. H διοργανώτρια τόνισε επίσης ότι τα άτομα που διαγνώστηκαν θετικά θα τεθούν σε καραντίνα για δέκα ημέρες.

«Η Premier League επιβεβαιώνει ότι το διάστημα 9 με 15 Νοεμβρίου συνολικά 1.207 ποδοσφαιριστές και προσωπικό συλλόγων υποβλήθηκαν σε τεστ για COVID-19. Από τα αποτελέσματα προέκυψαν δεκαέξι θετικά κρούσματα», τόνισε στην ανακοίνωση η διοργανώτρια, ενώ συνολικά 68 άτομα έχουν διαγνωστεί θετικά σε 11 γύρους δοκιμών.
